Nice job selling at the covid peak 🙌 Yeah, these cards up for auction only have a 5 day window of visibility so it’s tricky to see everything unfortunately. Hope you’ve been well! LV
@@airchewy-cards great question, and I honestly don't know yet. I'm interested to find out how they do combined shipping discount with auto pay. But I am really excited for it to go into effect because it should eliminate shill bidding, thankfully. We should be getting better deals on cards.
I assume you’re not taking shipping into account when saying a card is a buck or so from dcsports? Or averaging it out with all the cards and combined shipping?
dcsports have some of the lowest shipping costs thankfully. It’s $8.99 for 40 cards. So that comes out to .22 cents per card shipping. So you make a good point, even though it’s just an extra .22 cents, I should mention that in the beginning of the vid. Or just add in that cost when saying what I paid per item 🙌 Thanks for watching, much appreciated. LV
Love the channel. Great job! 1st comment been watching abt 1.5 years. Really enjoy the sharing of your vast knowledge. As someone who has a large amt of cards but never sold 1 to atleast support my habit. Thx for the inspiration. Hockey,FB,Bskt, BaseB is my passion in that order.
That makes me appreciate your comment even more 🙌 Thank you! Also, sorry I don’t do more hockey for ya! I do have a Joe Sakic vid coming up in the next month though 😃 Thanks again for the support! LV
@littlevictoriessportscards197 I doubt there's anything I can bring to the table knowledge wise that you don't already know abt collecting. I would recommend trying out the Ludex scanning app. I been using it about a week. I was out of the hobby so long I'm unaware of some SP and sub sets. Kind of like that 1st day TSC you bought. I had no idea. Anyway Ludex has been very accurate in recognizing the cards I scan. Not sure about rec'd pricing but it helps me to put a card aside for further review. That video you had awhile ago with the topps finest Basketball she box u bought and you saying ppl in the comments telling you some were SP gives me hope I can give you a tiny bit of help in return for yours. I'd be interested in hearing what you think of it if you try it.
@@nextplanet2960 I'm always still learning and gaining knowledge about the hobby, so I really appreciate your reply. Thanks for thinking of me, and wanting to give back. I'll definitely check out Ludex. Yeah, I was very grateful for the one person who told me about the 93 finest basketball refractor sp's. I had no idea, and thankfully because of that comment I literally made thousands of that box I bought at the show. Hope you're doing great, and thanks again! LV
I’m pretty sure the Jackson’s are backdoor copies-should not be hand-numbered. I saw those and avoided deliberately. I could be wrong, but I think that’s the case. I’ve seen a few of those on DC recently.
I’ve actually never heard of those 2004 ultra footballs being backdoored. But either way…cheap enough to risk it :) Gonna be interesting to see how the grading companies grade them (if they grade em 🤪)
I don’t believe backdoor copies would’ve been numbered. My thought is that they were damage replacements. In the “olden days” way back in 2004 this was far more common. If you sent in a card that was damaged you would send the card along with the box UPC and they’d replace it… usually with a hand numbered version of the same serial numbered card that was damaged. You saw this with upper deck too, most notably the 1998 Sp Authentic football set. Lots of hand numbered versions out of that set.
@@joshkirsch5970 I agree with you-I don’t believe they WERE numbered. I think an owner of the cards at some point wrote random numbers on them. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the numberings are significant and “just happen to be that way.” There are many unnumbered plat medallions that float around-I’ve never seen hand-numbering like this on any of them.
