I love having a night routine. I love going home/going to bed early because I love waking up at 5am everyday to either go for a run or go to the beach and tan before work. But I have a lot of party animal/night owl friends that do everything in their power to keep me out late past my threshold. They don’t respect my time, they don’t take no for an answer, and they get personally offended when I say I’d like to go home. I’ve tried absolutely everything to get myself home when I’m ready to go, but I keep running into the same issue. I wish I could have my night routine be consistent every night.
what you said about self time is so important and valuable. it's something that's emphasised quite a lot in buddhism as well. you should be compassionate and have loving kindness towards everyone including yourself. its not at all selfish to want to make time for yourself. in fact, you're encouraged to do so and yes, impermanence of literally everything is one of the core teachings of buddhism. so glad you've realised it on your own, with no background in buddhism

I can relate about being alone. Love to be by myself most of the time. Ever since I finished school I don’t like being with friends. I love to hangout with family and my boyfriend but that’s it. Whenever I hangout with people though I always need to give some time to myself after to just relax.👌🏼💕
