I hope this encourages you. I’ve been watching you for awhile and I started to feel like I couldn’t relate to you in anyway. Since you’ve become a mom I feel like it’s grounded your content and your life. I really enjoy all you are sharing these days. I’m a SAHM and my son just turned 1 and trust me it ONLY gets better and more fulfilling. You have so so much to look forward to.
Rachel, you’re doing such a great job!!!! Know that you’re not alone at all feeling everything you’re feeling. The first 6 months are truly survival mode. We did sleep training at 6 months, and it was life changing. Do whatever version feels right for y’all and for Mav!
You got this girl! The fact that you are having these anxieties just proves that you are a great mom. This is coming from a mom of a 17 year old boy. Sending you hugs!
Rachel thank you so much for talking about childcare!! I'm pregnant and due in the beginning of May and it overwhelms me so much thinking about how I'll be able to balance it all with a husband who also works a lot!! I just want you to know that your vulnerability and honesty is so nice to hear and inspiring!!
Your doing great just be in the present, the working out will help.❤ I’m an old mom my children are 44 and 39. I miss those days. He seems like a big boy if wakes up a lot he is hungry. When i was raising my granddaughter she did not sleep thru the night for almost a year. I’m a widow and that time i was still working it was rough. She had rice cereal before bed. Every baby is different I’m sure your mom knows. Moms and mother in laws have the best advice.
You are doing an amazing job at being a new mom. Continue to give yourself grace and remember that it’s ok to ask for help. No one can do it all alone. ❤ You got this! 💪
Loved that you had a date night with Coach. 💝!!! Doing very well Rach being a mommy. You’ll be fine and everything will fall into place. 🙏🏻hi to the girls!
im a single mom of a 4 year old. im well off. i am a full time mother. parenthood absolutely rocked me. everyone had made me think it was so easy / sugarcoated everything. im stable/ resilient and boy do i struggle!!!! im exhausted mentally evry single day. even when i have help its never enough!!! parenthood is soooo hard
You are an Excellent Momma 🤍 You & Dylan Know what is Best for Maverick ✨ Trust in your gut/maternal instincts and you’ll be fine!! Don’t give a Rip about other ppl’s opinions- as they always have something & who cares!! Rachel, you look Amazing and have that natural glow 🌟
I am due in February! Your mom content has made watching your vlogs even better to me 🥰. Keep sharing all the things please, the transparency helps sooo much
I did Burn for 5 years and worked there for 3 years! Did front desk and watched the babies! Such an amazing company that supports women! I hope you love it!
Thank you for being so real with this video and talking about figuring out how to be a mom ❤️ I’ve watched you since pre wedding, and now we both have little boys (mine is 8 weeks old), and I’m also trying to figure out how to be me and also a mom. Struggling to find childcare when I’m the childcare currently and also find time for myself is a challenge-I feel you. You are doing such a good job ❤️ I look forward to your posts so much, I relate so much
Rach- you’re doing amazing and you have no reason to be fearful sharing this on the internet. You’re incredible and doing a workout class and having some help with childcare is great. Hang in there, I know Fall Ball is always tough. We love you!
Absolutely sleep train! I honestly tried to avoid it but I had a boss talk me into it bc I was struggling so much. Best advice I ever took. We did ferber method. I think you have to start around 6 months. And it was rough for maybe 3 nights but then my baby has slept through the night ever since ❤ And she’s 18 months now!
Hi! I’m a SAHM here in Nashville - I feel all of these anxieties everyday and it’s so scary to be outside of your comfort zone (still feel this way 16 months in) it always ends up being fun and easier than expected and even though I know that, it’s still hard! Just know these feelings are very important and common
i’m about to become a first time mom as well and i appreciate you opening up so much because ive had so much anxiety about what’s to come. sahm is a full time job! i’ve had lots of moms recommend burn boot camp too, so glad you liked it, i might give it a shot!
So happy you found baby headphones for Maverick, they are so important for games/concerts etc., and he will be so relaxed. Just keep those happy baby thoughts, take it day by day😍
Good for you Rachel! I hope you're able to keep going to Burn, such a great network of women. I've been to a few and each one has had such a great supportive community.
love that you share everything about being a mom and the realities of it. i’m not a mom yet but i hope to be one day. where did you get the brown tote bag from? it’s super cute
I loveeeee skinbetter science! I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from them! Switched off zoskin except for a few things like the growth factor serum! Also thank you for sharing your new mom life.💘 I’m not a mom, just an auntie, newly married, & excited for the future but nervous about how it all gets worked out. Moms make it look so easy from the outside, which is great, but you’re showing your viewers that it can be all the things and you’re an incredible mom at the end of the day because of it. Thank you 💘
No really one of my concerns for when I have a baby is how to still have that me time during a workout class! Thank you SO much for sharing, this is the kind of content I think a lot of us viewers can relate to ❤ You're doing great!!!
Just coming to say I can so relate on the new mom thing 🫶🏻 no one prepares you for it. My husband is an airline pilot so like Dylan I am solo momming a lot, days at a time! My boy is 3 now and we’ve gotten into such a fun, great groove, I love it! Just know you will figure out what works for you and you don’t need to explain yourself 🫶🏻
You are such a great mom! And i feel you … my son is 2.5 month old now and i feel the same way about a lot of the topics you share 😢and it also makes me cry here and there 🙈
I’ve heard great things about Burn! Excited to hear how you like it. You got this!!! It’s hard to trust other people with your baby but you’re doing great and this will be so good for you 😊
Love following your content mama! We recently did sleep training at 4.5 months since he started waking up every few hours at night trying to connect his sleep cycles, he was sleeping longer stretches before. We did the Ferber method for night and naps, we did it for 7 days and he started sleeping through the night again and can self soothe now! Definitely recommend!! Sending you all the love!❤️
Castor oil has really helped me postpartum. I massage in scalp and hair like a mask and try to leave in all day. I usually do a slick back bun when I do it and I feel like it’s made such a difference! Xoxo
Takingcarababies helped me sleep train my twins and they still sleep perfectly through the night, every single night!!! They are now almost 5 years old
Everything you’re going through is so valid and a part of the journey. Hearing you speak on it brought back all of my postpartum emotions. Just know it becomes more and more natural as you develop routine. I go to Burn and my daughter loves it - my only regret is not starting sooner! Future you will be grateful you prioritized yourself for 45mins a day. 🤍
Not a new mom but I STILL very much struggle with parenting and making time for myself to do the things I love. My husbands schedule is almost the same and it’s hard working around it - I love your vulnerability ! Take it a day at a time. YOU got this, girly !! WE got this! 💕💕🫶🏽
I love this real real Rachel! I’m due in 10 days and inundated with so much social media mom stuff. It is overwhelming when everyone appears so perfect. You sharing your breast feeding journey and childcare journey makes me feel like I can struggle AND do a great job at the same time. Those things can exist together! (
Okay only 5 min into the video where you are talking about post partum hair loss.. my little girl is 15m now but I started using DIVI scalp serum a month or so ago and I WISH I would have had it fresh post partum. It’s SO good. Doesn’t make your hair oily either & the SMELL!!!
I felt the same way about workout classes and someone watching my son I was so scared putting him into childcare at the gym but I’m so happy I did ! He was a little upset at first but he loves it now!
I work in derm and I recommend you start taking women’s nutrafol for the pp hair loss! It will help maintain what you have. Eventually it will stop falling out and get better.
I tried burn boot camp before and it just wasn’t for me because they do a lot of conditioning days that I just didn’t like very much (just not the type of area I would like to focus on) and the workout schedule doesn’t come out until Sunday each week so I couldn’t even just plan around the conditioning days with work/life so I found myself not going more and more and it sucks because they make you sign a contract for a specific amount of months and pretty much the only way to get out of it is if you die…. I hope it works out for you and I know the childcare is a huge pull for a lot of people but if you want to focus more on specific areas instead of conditioning and want to plan ahead then I wouldn’t sign the contract
Does Maverick sleep in his crib or is he in the small bed in your room? Sometimes they love to stretch in a bigger space and sleep better. Also use room darker shades....
Hello Rachel. Check with your Doctor if Retinal is safe to use, when breastfeeding. I think it may not be. Better safe than sorry. Love your content. Maverick is adorable.
As an acupuncturist I see many of my patients get amazing results with hair loss using acupuncture. Helps with all symptoms of post postpartum as well. 🎉
If you’re acne prone beware of skinbetter. I was on face reality and my skin got amazing, switched to skinbetter and my skin went WHACK. Apparently it’s not good for acne prone
