I am a member of Tara’s Mature Demographic lol at 60, been following her for a couple of years and she inspires me also. What sets her apart from others is her humility & genuine gratitude for the life she’s living. As a caregiver to a disabled hubby, especially during the 2 years of pandemic isolation, some days Tara’s voice - her thoughts n feelings- was the only one I heard other than nurses & doctors… I am not alone!!🌴

I love being unnecessarily nice to strangers lol. I work in the service industry so it’s easy for me to just randomly compliment ppl so when I’m just out I never hold back if someone looks great/has a cute outfit/etc! They always appreciate it. Love that ur spreading good vibes like this bc small interactions like that can mean the world to ppl & even create friendships! 💘

We got hello fresh for the first time last week and we regret not doing it sooner. It makes sense for our family size and financial situation and we ended up saving money weekly based on the overall grocery spend we had each week. Definitely recommend trying it out.

All these shots of Santa Monica are making me homesick for a home my parents sold when I went to college ...before dinosaurs roamed the earth. If you want your mind blown... when I was growing up JCPenney was at the north end of the mall on Wiltshire and Sears was at the other end. If you wanted anything more upscale you went to Century City. Also that bridge over the PCH at the bottom of the incline wasn't there. We'd jump the fence, climb down the cliff ( there was an actual path of sorts in the dirt), and then wait for a break in traffic to run across the highway....every day all summer long.

It's crazy sometimes how we are on the same wavelength.. I spent ALL day playing the sims yesterday (sunday) after a while of not playing! I got seasons and laundry day for sale on gamestop and it restarted my desire to play. It is just SO fun!! Missed it.

Woohoo I was 2nd in liking you. Almost 1. I purchased a phone strap from casetify when you showed what it was. I got it to try to keep from looking for my phone all the time. I’m 62 and on 4/4 my ankle turned and I fell off my porch. I dislocated my left shoulder and thought I sprained my left ankle. After X-rays they diagnosed a fracture by the dislocated shoulder and 2 fractures on left ankle. I had my phone on strap when I fell and it would have been there for me if needed and I keep it around my neck all the time now, except when sleeping. Hope others consider it. Thanks for making me aware of it! Love your new place!!!

Crystal- sorry to hear about your accident, and Yes I am hearing your message: as a 60 yr old who cares for a disabled hubby, I have learned that I must slow down- I tend to rush from here to there- and don’t always have pockets to keep phone on me at all times… for us a similar accident would be devastating on many levels. Your comment hits home: I’m def looking into a case w/a clip or strap. Thank you for taking the time to comment! I pray you have a steady recovery 🙏❤️🌴ps- hubby fell recently in middle of night going to the bathroom, I was here, but a lot of folks who live alone don’t bother w/phone going to restroom, and that’s a common fall.

Not only is there June Gloom in LA, but there is also what is called May Gray and if you live near the ocean there is the Marine Layer to contend with, which is different from clouds. It reminds me of living in London. That’s why the English skin is so milky (no freckles and sunspots or leather skin) and youthful. They get much less skin damage than those places that have sunshine 24/7.

OMG! I pace on the phone too! I've always done it, just pick a path and follow it. I'm also really drawn to patterns. If there is a pattern in a carpet or wood floors I have to walk on the same part with each step.
