Not having AC in the summer when it's 90 plus degrees outside isn't fun. You don't realize how much needed it is until you go through a period of time without it. I am almost done dog/cat sitting for a family friend and have been without a/c in the summer heat. Thankful that it's Michigan so it's hot but would be way worse if it was any state down in the southern US.

Real talk, how are you going to grow as a person if you don't experience adversity? Adversity builds strength and character. Unfortunately I no longer have my parents around to ask for help. Of course when they were around they helped. But I experienced the biggest growth in me when I went through problems and trials without my parent here anymore. I had to sleep in a house without electricity, no water, no a/c, no heater, no hot water.( not all at once but over time). I would recommend to embrace hard times don't run for help right away. you will be surprised what you can endure and come out a stronger person. We are living in crazy times and I wish you both all the best.
