Hey Darren! I recently got accepted to a medical school (not in Australia though). Do you have any tips for first year med students and also study tips as well, I have pretty good work ethic but also am aware that medical school can differ quite a lot from highschool? Love you vids and your channel!

Hey Lynn! Thanks for the kind words and it’s cool to hear from someone from overseas! My biggest piece of advice is to trust yourself. You have a good work ethic and have performed well - when you arrive at med school don’t forget that and do whatever works for you in terms of balancing social life/study and how to study. People will suddenly start advocating for flashcards or a work hard/play hard mentality that might seem appetising for you to try, but you should have faith in how you operate. Be open to advice and to trying new things in uni but have confidence in yourself above everything else.

Hey! It varies a lot depending on your course honestly. There are so many students (unlike high school) that how friendly and inviting everything is depends on the people in your classes. Physically, though, the school environment is very nice and the campus is incredibly pretty. My first week was fine, I knew a lot of in med already so it wasn’t a massive jump for me.
