This is a week in the life of an RPI student! I filmed this last year when I was still in college. Follow me as I go to class, do homework, explore Troy, go to events, my domino club, and more :) This vlog is kinda all over the place so sorry about that - I was still getting the hang of filming everything xD

Here's a little weekly vlog that I filmed when I was in college last year. I no longer go to RPI, but still wanted to post this :) Are any of you in college? If so, where do you go and what are you studying? I was studying "Design, Innovation, and Society" which is somewhat similar to product design.

Lilly, thanks for the RPI nostalgia... I remember when the VCC was the main computer center before laptops were a thing. it's hilarious to know that Commons food still hasn't changed in 25 years, Big Apple Pizza is still around, and West Hell is still haunted. :)

Going to RPI in the fall as a freshman. I had no idea you were the domino girl. I only realized it after I heard about the club at RPI. I used to watch your videos back when I was really young and it got me on a short domino period. Love the videos!

@@BehindThe5 I discovered your channels a few months ago and enjoy watching them. It was a nice coincidence that you also attended RPI. I live in New York City, so that was fun seeing you explore it for a few weeks. I applaud you for taking the popularity of your main channel and creating the H5 Domino Community Channel to bring together other domino fans. That was a really nice move on your part.

My kids found your domino channel and we’ve been watching a bunch of your videos! I’m a sound engineer at EMPAC, and helped get that recording class up and running. Sorry I didn’t know about you when you were on campus,m. Your videos are great, and we really appreciate when you go the extra mile to give some back story and education, like in your lunar new year video. Keep up the great work!

Does your major allow you to be an engineer or a type of technical designer? Sounds interesting

You can choose to just do DIS (design innovation and society), or combine that with a dual major. Most people do the mechanical engineering dual with DIS but there are many other options as well. (With the dual major, it becomes PDI or “programs in design and innovation)

Being a PhD student at RPI was one of the most stressful times in my life...but I really enjoyed the campus and community. I miss it a lot! Thanks for this tour down memory lane.

RPI sounds really cool but when you show up you realize that the dining halls are trash, tuition is ridiculous, Troy is a boring ghetto place, you have no free time, and you will only survive here if you are a nerd. Before you come here, understand that RPI students are here just to earn a degree that makes them look good. Be warned Edit: sophomore year kinda lit tho

Dude, it is a stem school with high job placement... Were you expecting to do this without being "a nerd"? Also, the dinning halls are similar to any other school, and the union had pretty good food in restaurants. I agree Troy lacks entertainment but Albany is a close drive away.

Yeah, union has pretty good food that you have to BUY with your OWN money and before 9pm,you CAN'T use the meal plan that you are REQUIRED to pay for .
