This might be such a weird comment, but thank you so much for being on here with your natural skin, without a filter, makeup or filler, and your natural hair. It makes me feel so much more seen? I don't know if that's the right way to word it, but it's just refreshing and I love it.
Absolutely sweet girl 💛💛💛💛💛 this is real life and it’s not always “glamorous” 💞 thank you for your kind words, you are a gem. I totally get what you mean. It’s so ridiculous but I appreciate it too when people just show up on camera with no nothing lol xoxo
Yeah I agree when people say they’re ‘bare faced’ but have makeup or a filter, but let’s not come for people with filler. If they wants filler because that makes them feel better, that’s not them lying and you shouldn’t have to put down what other people do for you to feel “seen”
If you are struggling read this~ I know I’m young but I would just like to say that, In 7th grade I was in a very dark place. I couldn’t feel much emotion and I had thoughts of revenge and the other things. But God saved me, He gave me the people in my life and he showed himself to me. Even in my darkest days He was there with me, He never left me. One day while I was in bed I started to pray with my hand go the sky and I felt something holding my hand. At that very moment I knew it was Him. I repent of all of the sins I have committed. I am ready to begin a new life with Him. There is still time go repent love one another and believe in Christ for He will forgive you❤️ He helped me in hard and he will help you too:). Just pray!
I love that you're not obsessed with having frizz-free, perfect hair every single day. The volume is beautiful on you! I've been trying to embrace the messier beachy vibe myself instead of trying to force my hair to be perfectly tame
FINALLY - an influencer who's wave pattern and texture looks like mine! AND a sister who prioritizes and prizes VOLUME! I am SO GLAD I found your vids!
I don't know if you will see this since this video is from a few months ago, but I never realized you lived in Georgia and were Christian! It might not seem like a big deal, but I live in Florida, so it's relieving knowing another curly girl is dealing with this humidity lol. Also seeing how joyful and full of life you are in all your videos, I love being able to follow other Christians and see their lifestyle, it honestly lifts my spirits. Thank you for all that you do, this just helped make my day a little bit better :)) also the video was super helpful!! I have similar hair but not that much volume (which I don't mind), but I've been a bit disheartened with my hair after sleeping and I feel like I constantly need to refresh it every. single. day. Now I know that my waves are okay being a little crazy and fun!!
I’ve been watching your videos since 2018 and I’ve loved watching your channel evolve as you’ve grown to love your waves and advocate for wavy babies instead of trying to fit into the “curly” category because brands like to leave us wavy gals out! Thank you for being you!
Day 1: 1: Suave Pink Luscious Curls Shampoo and Conditioner - brush through, starting at ends, if desire) 2: Sauve Pink Heat-Free Styler - Air Dry Styling Cream - rake through soaking wet hair, evenly disperse) 3. Scrunch out excess water 4. Apply gel of your choice - apply with praying hands and scrunch in 5. Air dry or diffuse (Sleep - use silk products, put up in pineapple ponytail. Tip from Emma Breen below: leave out the framing pieces and clip them back with a little bump for volume/to keep them curled.) Day 2: Looks good, so no maintenance necessary. Day 3: Refresh 1. Shake it out and fluff from underneath. 2. Suave Pink Air Refresher Dry Shampoo - section hair and apply to roots and fluff 3. Suave Pink Luscious Curls Curl Enhancing Hair Styling Cream (defining cream) - go over the top and frizzy areas 4. If not looking it's best or you prefer, you can style it in a half-up/half-down style or whatever style you prefer. Day 4: Refresh 1. Using spray bottle, wet hair until damp, especially focusing on problem areas. 2. Sauve Pink Heat-Free Styler - Air Dry Styling Cream - don't need as much as on Day 1; use a small amount and work/scrunch into the areas that have lost wave/curl definition, and then scrunch all over 3. Diffuse or air dry. Day 5: 1. Suave Pink Air Refresher Dry Shampoo - section hair and apply to roots and fluff 2. Suave Pink Luscious Curls Curl Enhancing Hair Styling Cream (defining cream) - go over "edges" (outside of hair all over), especially the frizzy areas 3. If not looking it's best or you prefer, you can style it in a cute pigtail style or whatever style you prefer.
I am so glad that I found your channel. I have been inspired to finally embrace my curls. Thanks for the wonderful product recommendations and your amazing tips for styling. 💕
Your videos have been so helpful! I have naturally wavy hair but I've always gotten frustrated with it! I recently switched to curly girl friendly products but it's so hard to find lightweight stuff because I have FINE THICK hair! I love that you focus on volume instead of definition.. I'm all about the messy bed head so I'm loving all your tips and help ❤️❤️
I know this is an older video, but India, this makes me feel so much better about how my hair looks 2nd or 3rd day!! Mine gets so frizzy, loses definition, and basically turns into be beachy waves too. I am slowly learning how to bring out its best, and honestly your videos have been the most helpful ❤️ My hair is similar, but I have much less than you do, so when I get a less than desirable result, it looks so weird 😳. You have gorgeous hair and I love you out here normalizing curly/wavy hair life…it’s frustrating even once you get the hang of it. Thank you for showing your routine!
I know I'm a year late to this video but I want to sincerely thank you for making this video. I have... much different hair than you. Growing up I never learned how to take care of my hair because I was raised by a working single father who did his best. I had to learn on my own later in life and I'm still learning today. When I try to find tutorials on line its hard to find creators with my same hair type and the more similar ones make tons of videos about what to do on washday but it is so dramatically hard to find out how people are caring for their curls throughout the week. This feels like enough information that I can translate it into what I need to do for my own hair. Seriously, thank you so much.
Your hair looks so pretty. You've given me some new ideas on how to make my washdays last longer. It definitely is all about the products you use and how you protect your curls at night. I'm in Canada but will be in the States next week so I hope to get my hands on the Suave products you used.
Thank you for watching Rachel !!!!!! 💛💛💛💛 your straight hair is positively beautiful ! Lots of content not on curly hair (; i hope you enjoy my most recent video with my mom 🤗✨
I use ecoslay orange marmalade on day 1 and I can get to day 4-5 with no refreshing except just a little bit of water in my hands when needed. It’s the only thing that’s worked so well for me and it’s so simple! Also, I did two rounds of accutane (one when I was in my 20s and then again in my 30s). It was a life saver. Also also, even with no makeup on you are incredibly stunning and also love that soulful confidence! Appreciate the authenticity 👏🏻
Very, very helpful. My hair is similar to yours in curl pattern, and you gave me good ideas on how to not have to wet my hair completely everyday. PS You are so pretty!
Thank you so much for your amazing hair tips!!! I can not get used to pineapple-ing my hair so I put it all up on top of my head across my pillow, same idea & it works! the sides stay out of my face for the most part.
Great video, India!. I really needed to see something like this. Thank you for the refresher/reminders on different styler‘s and techniques. Sometimes I really get in a rut. My hair is similar to yours but not as beautiful. My hair is several decades older than your hair too. lol. AnyWho, I have never used an air cream or anything like that so I definitely will try the one you used by suave. And I hope they come out with a gel as well. Also, I know we would all love to have an update on your Accutane journey if you feel like sharing. Your skin is looking great. Keep going!
Love love LOVE these type of videos :) would really really appreciate a video like this with your HOLY GRAIL products. This was super fun but when it’s sponsored it’s just not the same of course :) It’s been a while since we got the holy grail routine and I feel like you’ve talked about some Maui moisture gel and refresh spray but not in routine vids! Just a request when you have time! Would love a week in waves with your absolute FAVS! ☺️☺️❤️❤️
Absolutely I love this idea !!!!! 😍 should it be a full wash day show and tell like updated HOLY grail hair routine ??and yes that’s the gel I used in this video (;
@@indiabatson26 yessss! We love a super detailed wash day routine! Also having that refresh routine at the same time is so so helpful too I feel like. Because my second day hair isn’t always the best haha
@@indiabatson26 I agree with her! I’d love to see a video like this and am curious (maybe a separate video) if you can show how you diffuse from start to finish. My daughter (11) and I just started the CGM and I’m needing every tip possible. We both have very thick hair. Hers is beautiful and healthy and thick…mine is thick, color damaged (blonde) and dry. I diffused it last week and I could not believe the results. I had no idea my hair had that much potential! Anyway, the diffusing took me about an hour. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. Even after an hour, my hair was not 100% dry…
The thing that’s not fun is having a super amazing wash day and then not being able to replicate those results. There was one cowash day I had where I put in ZERO stylers, but my waves were popping and stayed popping even after tying it back and running around in the wind all day. Idk how to do it again. 🥲
You are so cute!! I love your hair! Also, I LOVE your facial expressions! You are such an expressive and uniquely beautiful girl. Many influencers nowadays don’t have facial expressions, sadly!
I pull up the top few layers of hair, spray bottom layer with water and work a little watered down gel through, then bring down the next layer and repeat until I’ve done all three layers (bottom, middle, top). I don’t use dry shampoo since my scalp doesn’t get oily ever. I also wet down the nape of my neck a LOT and put much more gel there to define the curly-Qs there because I don’t like frizz there and I have to wear my hair up as a dental hygienist. I don’t have the best job for curly hair for sure. I wish I could wear it down like a normal person.
I enjoyed watching this as I sit with my day 2 hair in a messy bun. Haha I just don't have the patients to mess with it after day two or three. I usually just detangle then braid it or put it back up.
I love how realistic your hair looks. I just started to style my wavy hair with the curly girl method, so still learning and when I tried it the first few times, I thought that there is something wrong with the products I use and with my hair because on day 2 or day 3 some strands would stretch out but now I see that it is normal. I feel so silly that I bought into the idea set by some curly hair influencers of perfect locks every day. Thank you for your videos! I love them and I am a subscriber even though our hair types don't 100% match.
India.....my curl pattern is very close to you and your mom's. HOWEVER....[just South of} Atlanta spring/summer weather (God bless the humidity) is making my second day hair CRAZY frizzy!!! I tend to keep it more "tame" and straighter during these months. But I LOVE the cur.. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait to give these a try.
Your skin it’s looking Amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Remember to proctected from the sun. Please do an update of your favorite hair gel !!! Thanks In advance ❤️🙏🏾
Suave almost 20 years ago used to have one of the best gels I used EVER. It was in one of those huge bottles they sold and was for fighting frizz but they discontinued it 😭 I’ll check these out.
My curly haired mom straightens her hair everyday for probably 20 years now and subsequently I don't know how to do anything with my waves so i definitely appreciate these videos 😂
My hair is thick & wavy & can almost pull itself straight with weight when wet. If time allows sometimes i scrunch & use clips to hold while drying. Maybe even rescrunch & move. Thanks for the tips!
I switched from using drugstore shampoo and conditioner with using a black soap ( made with no coconut oil) and an apple cider vinegar rinse and it looks so much better! I just bought black soap from a company called Sallyander ( no, I am not affiliated with this company). I happen to stumbled upon it at Vermont Country Store in VT where I live.
I have done accutane a couple of times and it is THE BEST! If you haven’t already, try the X-Balm chapstick in the extreme ice flavor. It was my lifesaver when I was on accutane.
Hey India! I've been following you for a year plus and love your videos~ You're authentic and joyful and support and use a wide variety of products for lower price points. Thank you! I just realized I wasn't subscribed! You likely get so many comments asking for advice, so I totally understand if you don't respond. I have the same hair type/ curl pattern. I have watched a ton of videos that are so helpful. I feel my hair is constantly dry and tangled, and I've tried many conditioners, shampoos, products, and masks . Unless I use super moisturizing conditioners, my hair is SO tangled, but then those weigh my hair down, so less volume, and it weighs my hair down..... stretching my waves and less volume, so not cute. Any advice? Thanks for your content, girl!
Just found your channel..your eyes are the same color as my youngest daughter... people always accused her of wearing contacts lol your skin looks great happy for you. You have the same wave I have so watching to see if you style it similar to when I wear my waves.
What a lovely young women to explain how to keep them curls bouncy beautiful hair I have natural curly hair and have done your steps for years. I must say I need a silk scrunchy desperately and a good cut. Thank you for taking the time for more details best wishes 😉👍
thanks for the video! i am having always such a problem with my curly hair because when I wake up it's always full of tangling and the curls are all combined, and i have to comb it pretty often. how do u avoid that?
Hello india, can you let me know where your 'week in my life with curls' is? I couldnt find it and am interested what you use and how you refresh it the next morning for multiple days and so on. Thank you:-)
I’m pretty sure we are identical hair twins 😂 my hair is the same texture and I always struggle getting my curls back to life after day 1 so this was super helpful 🙏
Thanks India! My main thing about refresh is that if I am ever outside I have that "been outside" smell so I always feel like I have to use product. I wonder if a dry shampoo will help.
