I think that replacing old wooden railway sleepers with recycled plastic railway sleepers is the most eco-friendly thing to do. Plus can they handle the heatwaves and to stop tracks from being buckled. And as Swansea railway station is having a massive upgrade I still think that electrification to Swansea could still happen.
