We left straight after work on a Friday night only to stumble upon a young stag walking down the river bed on the edge of darkness. Harvesting the meat with head lamps on we quickly packed up and walked a further two hours up stream before setting up camp for the night...
Leaving at eight am on Saturday morning we fished our way up to the hut, being on to the fish immediately made for a long and arduous day for me with lots of rock sideling through gorges, fording deep pools of stinging water and scaling boulders led to me having a blow out.
Fourteen fish were landed on the Saturday and I had spooked lots. One was taken for tea but I had gone to bed shattered.
On the Sunday morning I was feeling much better, Dodgy and TJ went for a unsuccessful early morning hunt. We were meant to fish the morning before leaving but thought best not to after the day before as we still had a seven hour walk out.
Another great mission.
