About the author: Rosemary Drysdale grew up in the north of England, always around knitting, sewing or needlework of some kind. She studied textile design at Durham University and graduated with a distinction in embroidery. She became the head designer and spokesperson for one of the most respected embroidery fabric companies in Europe. Rosemary is recognised as a global expert on blackwork embroidery, as well as a teacher of many other advanced stitching techniques. She travelled the world teaching and has published numerous books and patterns and lives in East Hampton, New York with her family.
