She's right tho, in NY a couple of blocks is really 5-8 blocks away. I just realised that I do tell people "a couple of blocks too" 😂 What I do now is just tell them the street number so they can count how far it is from where they are standing.

I am pretty sure a lot of the writings were her own - she was a writer first at SNL before she became one of the cast. I don't think anyone could ask her to do stuff she wasn't willing to do. She said she quit because it was very hard work and the material allowed were "restrictive" - I guess the show being on NBC, they wouldn't allow her (and the writers) to do certain things/topics.
