Weekend update on multiple aspects of Sustainable Sailing

Time for a short update on what we have been working on this weekend.
We worked on 4 different things, all related to Sustainable Sailing
- Friday: Bilge drains around watertight battery box
- Saturday: Building supports for solar and pushpit tubes
- Saturday: Fixing an issue with the stern found in the survey 3 years ago
- Sunday: last backing plates for dyneema chainplate loops in the aft cabin
In the coming week I'm trying to finish all the fibreglass work that requires us to strip out the aft cabin. Plus getting ready to connect the batteries next weekend (when our electrician son is visiting).

We are refitting a 1977 Rival 38 Centre Cockpit Ketch for zero fossil fuel world cruising.

You have come a long way since we met over a Dataflex tables. Looking forward to following your project.

Somewhere down the line there will be some Python coding on a Raspberry Pi to read the BMS from the battery banks via Bluetooth. Plus I want to add various sensors (eg temperature of the individual batteries) and connect them to the navigation data network which will also have solar panel data etc. We can then automate things like running the dehumidifier and heating as much as possible in winter while not running down the batteries. Long time since I did much coding so going to be fun.
