Nice jackfruit sabzi we too love them. One more easy variation you can try is , boil jackfruit as you did without turmeric just some salt. When drained and cooled down completely, smash them little with mortar and pestle ( like we do for garlic). In a pan give tadka of Rai and lots of smashed garlic ( amount of jackfruit you took take 10-12 garlic cloves)and green chilies. Then add the jackfruit . Steam it covered for 2 mins , then at last add on top grated coconut (1/2 to 3/4 cup or more if you like) mix well, top it with coriander leaves. Its easy and tastes great. If you want can add soaked Chana dal also . Just cook it after tadka and then add jackfruit and rest of the ingredients.

I am from odisha so I have fond memories of jackfruit curry . We had a jackfruit tree at our house backyard. The jackfruit of that tree was sooooo tasty. Thank you for refreshing memories. Where did you get fresh jackfruit in USA. I have always seen frozen jackfruits here.

Hi Payal, you can try a couple of other restaurants in Edison if you want to eat indian fast food definitely try Mithas and Bombay talk. Moughal has a good lunch buffet. For sweets you can try Mithas and shalimar they both have good sweets.
