Weeki Wachee River | Days After Hurricane Helene Hit 

Days after Hurricane Helene hit the Gulf Coast of Florida, impacting all the springs and river, we went straight to Weeki Wachee River to help with the impact.
I launched from Roger's Park and began my cleanup journey. I spent hours just in the immediate area, then paddled up river.
I pulled out a ton of trash and saw the devastation first hand. You can see on each house where the water levels rose to. This lead to docks and kayaks being displaced. You will also see a port-o-potty and a FULL trash can in the river still. I collected so many chemicals from the river too.
