Weeki Wachee Springs: Recently discovered section filmed in high definition. Meteorologist Amanda Holly sat down with the group who works to explore and document the delicate Floridan aquifer. They hope allowing others to see what is flowing under our feet and where our drinking water actually comes from will help people understand and want to protect it. The Karst Underwater Research group is a non-profit organization who volunteer their time and money doing these documentation dives.

Sadly, Brett Hemphill died during a dive exploring a cave system in Texas. RIP Brett.

This is the first local news reporter that actually accurately described the breathing has mix being used. Kudos. It would have been icing on the cake if she had mentioned the rebreathers used to conserve gas on long, deep dives.

Some things are meant to remain a secret. Everytime there is a new area discovery of a new area, it becomes a tourist attraction. This guy isn't protecting, he inviting trouble to the spring.
