Hey friends! I mention we’ve had 192 people from four different countries download Countdown to Christmas. I MEANT CONTINENTS! FOUR DIFFERENT CONTINENTS! You are guys are amazing. It’s available at lizandless.com through the end of July for free. My sticker book is available at stickersavingschallenges.com. There’s a free custom sticker upgrade if you order before July 7. TRACEY’S CD LADDER VIDEO: this is her first CD ladder video where you she details and explains EXACTLY why she’s doing a CD ladder and how it adds up year after year. Thanks friends! Happy Independence Day if you’re celebrating!
I was reminded to get both the freebie and the book, so I did that right away, thanks 😊 I'm excited to start saving with them!!!!! I have neighbors who love the M80 firecrackers, that sound as though a bomb is going off, setting them off in previous years until between 1 and 2 am, which is when I normally wake up to start getting ready for work... so I'm extra happy that this year I took Friday as a PTO day and won't have to go to work after being up all night due to my neighbor's enthusiasm for loud fireworks. I'm fortunate that my dog isn’t phased at all by fireworks, but we'll both still enjoy napping during the day on the 4th and 5th 😁
I will be thinking of you sleeping in and relaxing when I’m making coffee!!! Happy long long LONG weekend to you! And yay for your pup! It’s so bad around here and I feel for those dogs with anxiety!
I love your happy dance! Every since the tires were stolen off my daughters KIA and it was over $1500 to replace them with the lock thingy - I have started to save (not a lot so far because of Christmas and an upcoming planned trip) because I have a Jeep and I'm anticipating mine to be more expensive. Adulting really does suck 😂
Happy 4th 🎉 I think $2000 is a lot for tires. We buy ours online and then have someone put them usually between $500 - $700 then about $100 rotors have them put on.
Hi Liz! I drive a Dodge SUV and had to replace a tire last year for $300. Thankfully, my truck is not all-wheel drive, as I would’ve had to replace all of the tires. Have a great Holiday!
Love the video, love the no IOU. Amazing. Family member, yeah! My husband runs interference to keep the peace on MY side of the family. Friend of mine is coming over for dinner and I've looked through so many recipes to try to figure out what kind of US food should be served on 4th of July. It's like a whole new world opening up.
Happy 4th of July! I have to work tomorrow, but that’s OK because then I will be off for the next five days. Going camping with my kids and my grandbaby, couldn’t ask for anything better.
Hey getting caught up on your videos today. I’m so glad I have a cheap paid for car too. Only time I feel awkward about it is when I drop my son off at school and we are CLEARLY the oldest car in the drop off line. But it’s not often as that’s why he takes the bus. 😂
Hi friend! Congrats on the success of your book!! So excited to get mine! 🥰 Great video and I love the Georgette books!! So funny about the train! 😲🚂 I always seem to get a helicopter. 😂😂Or my husband making tons of noises while I'm filming, LOL! 🥴 Happy Fourth Of July!💗
I have a Jeep, and it's on a liftt kit and I have very expensive tires because it's all weather and all the bells and whistles for tires. My tires are a $1000 apiece. And since I have the 4 plus a spare. That's $5000, but I will say when I get new tires. They last me for about 5 to 6 years, so if you're saving as soon as you change them, it's not as traumatizing which is why I am glad that I have found the envelope system to help me plan and be prepared.
My old car tires were $75 each mounted and installed. I don't know about the vehicle I have now are and hopefully won't have to have any for awhile. But I am budgeting.
Our tires are $150 each if we buy them new but we normally buy used for our old CRV so they're $40. Are you getting extra holiday pay? I hope so. Whew! Waking up at 3 am to go to work is something else!
❤ Hi Liz! ❤ No worries! Your video came right on time. 9:13 I understand about the cost of groceries and car tires. I, too, drive a small vehicle that is very fuel efficient and cost effective. 10:43 Hahaha! What family doesn't have a crotchety relative? I hope she doesn't see this video! 13:13 Thanks for talking about CD ladders. I'll check out Tracey's channel for more. 14:02 Fun video!
Just ordered from you some sticker challenges from you and it was shipped the next day! Can not wait to get the challenges and I am going to order the Xmas sticker book! I have a Etsy envelope to purchase from you!
I have a new-to-me SUV. I've had him for about a year and a half at this point, which makes me know he'll need new tires very soon/I'll feel safer this winter with new tires. I set aside $600 to replace them this fall, because that's how much it cost me to give his predecessor middle-level new tires. We're gonna hope it's not much more than that when the time comes. Otherwise... I can't exactly put him in time out... Nice job setting up for the future, near and far!
YES YES YES! I am glad you feel safe on the road! That's the most important thing. AND yay for budgeting and having that moolah set aside. Have you done a price quote to see what the close cost would be?
@@lizandless That is actually a plan I have for mid-to-late August. So if there is NOWHERE I can get 4 decent tires (maybe 5, so I have a spare that I know is the same/good) for what I have set aside, I'll have another month or two to allocate funds that way so it's a bit closer to what it needs to be. Let me know ahead of time that my budget would have to shift
Hey Liz, just a heads up. I picked up my Christmas Savings Challenge book from the post office and there was additional postage due. Apparently the package didn't qualify for Ground Advantage. I don't care about the additional postage just wanted you to be aware in case it affected other customers. I am so excited!!!!!
Ughhhh this is so annoying! I am so sorry -- even before I sent them out I had my local PO verify they qualified for ground advantage. I am soooo sorry!! I haven't heard this from anyone else so I'll cross my fingers!
@Egggatherer exactly! I was afraid because it was flat! She said, "no, it's fine." Literally heading to the PO to show this. I also sent some piggy challenges out last week and 1 out of the 10 I sent had $15 extra shipping added! They were all the same package but one USPS said it was irregular. Again, had my local office give me a cost estimate for mailing before I even priced it. Ugh challenges with mail! It's always something! :)
@Egggatherer so I just spoke with a different person at the PO and she verified that nothing extra should have been charged. I am soooo sorry this happened to you. I showed her what you shared and I wish there was an emoji that had her crazy eyes but basically the response was, "her post office be buggin'".
Hey Liz! Probably a silly question but with you using placeholders and putting the extra money in the bank, do you have separate accounts for each category or just different folders under that same account for each one or all in the same account just delegated in your binders??
This is actually a great question! So I have an account with Ally and there is something called "buckets". It is like having a folder system on your computer. You have a main folder which is where all my money sits, but then there are subfolders ("buckets") and I give them all the different names that match my savings goals. So, I have week ahead, medical, lizmobile, family, etc. When I deposit the money I transfer it to that bucket! I hope that helps!!
Woohooo Merbucks Rewards coming clutch! I have amazing vision & dental i need to use it lol. I just got my tires rotated and ive been sinking to save up 1k that should cover all 4 tires, mount & balance for my '18 Acadia...fingerscrossed. ive haphazardly priced em at Sams Club 🤣
Okay, when I get my benefits you and I are both going to commit to using htem! OHHHHH I am crossing my fingers so hard for those tires! Total big bad arse budgeter move to try and price guess them! LOVE THAT!
