I am devestated by the Costa Maya news. It has become one of my favorite ports. I like going to the Crazy Lobster beach bar. Free loungers,umbrellas. Protected beach. Free wifi. Inexpensive food and drinks. But the best thing is 50 minute massages on massage tables under the palm trees for $20. What will these hundreds of people do to make a living? What we need is a free sandy beach in Cozumel.
I’m sure a lot of locals will be hired by Royal. They tend to do a great job in the areas. Labadee for instance they built up the villages and built schools there. We shall see.
I’m not a huge fan of manufactured cruise ports and I’m not a coco cay fan personally. So I’m kind of meh on this, costa maya needs an upgrade but don’t like that it’s going to be a coco cay copycat
