I was at that Bees game. Funny thing is that the corn also tripped on the bullpen mound right after the carrot did. It looked even funnier from behind where I was.
I think the #2 play wasn't too bad. Tough play to tell if he caught it from that perspective of the runner's, though the way he was holding the glove should have been a giveaway that it was a trap/off a bounce or he should have been checking the third base coach for help. The biggest problem was that Senzel was halfway to second already assuming that he should have a double without being careful of his lead runner.
The clip we see never shows the umpires. This play is why umpires need to make large and loud calls. So the runner and batter-runner don't have to guess at what is going on.
