Inspiration this week comes from the Japanese technique of kintsugi where broken porcelain is mended with gold to honour and celebrate the beauty of the imperfection. This is in the ethos of wabi sabi which is centred around the acceptance of transience and imperfection and mono no aware or 'the pathos of things'. I will show how to hand stitch the cloth bubbles I showed in Earth week.
