The reason why those chickens were expensive is that people buy them for breeding and for good beldi eggs, they aren't like the "roumi" white ones which you can get for as low as 20 DH depending on their poundage and these white ones are what you find typically in supermarkets and at butchers sold for meat. Beldi chickens (Especially roosters aka "Maradona" in local jargon) are often slaughtered to cook a feast for a guest expressing great hospitality at special occasions like in Rfissa or Djaj Mhamar.
You are expert in Moroccan agriculture and fish now. You know all products per seasons, prices trends per seasons, souks... even Moroccans don't know all this 😊

L'arc en ciel est un phénomène optique naturel qui rend visible le spectre de la lumière. L'arc-en-ciel n'est rien d'autre que la lumière du Soleil… les rayons du soleil passent à travers les gouttes d’eau devant nous. Et il se passe alors quelque chose de très étonnant : cette lumière blanche est décomposée en sept couleurs ! Car tu ne le savais peut-être pas, mais la lumière blanche est le résultat du mélange de lumière rouge, orange, jaune, verte, bleue, indigo et violette. Justement les sept couleurs de l’arc-en-ciel ! Mais la lumière blanche est bien cachottière et ne révèle son secret que lorsqu’elle passe à travers un prisme… ou une goutte d’eau. Une fois la goutte traversée, la lumière décomposée continue son chemin jusqu’à ce qu’elle arrive sur un « écran » : le ciel chargé d’humidité et de nuages. Tu crois peut-être que tous ces rayons de lumière déviés forment un demi-cercle dans le ciel ? Eh bien tu te trompes ! Si tu croisais un arc-en-ciel en avion, tu verrais très bien qu’il a la forme d’un cercle complet. Mais quand tu as les deux pieds sur Terre, la moitié de ce cercle est cachée sous l’horizon.
Which language do you use with the child? Swedish? Danish? Your whole time you are in Morocco, teach the child Arabic woords. At least, she gets used to it for later.
