I don’t think Moses made a cosmic mistake. Joshua and Caleb, the two of the ten spies had the faith to go in the promised land. The ten could not go in because of their unbelief, which weakened the hearts of the entire nation, preventing many of the nation from going in. Maybe the lesson to be learned is that only Faith can enter in to Gods promises.

Hi Not understanding your comment about Tora not being in order. About it not being a history? I'm following along the road of the Hebrews every year on Tora portions . From Moses to the prophets the beginning of the land of Israel and the fall. No disrespect intended. Could you a little further thank you .

Here's my portion..Obviously we are still not reading the bible.. G-d does not require these pagan rituals!
