What I love about you, is that you aren't just Mum and Dad to your kids, you're best friends and it's the best kind of relationship! I had the same with my parents and even as a 30 year old now, I still hang out with them because I want to not because I have to. You'll have that one day!! ❤️❤️❤️

Went on the Staten Island ferry 14 years ago in the summer when it was 96 degrees F so it was nice to be on the water in the breeze. Its one of my favorite things to do in NYC. Looks like you had a wonderful trip.

OMG! Ellen’s Stardust Diner😍 That was one of the highlights from my first and only trip (so far) to NYC with my mom and sister a couple years ago. We went twice in a 4 day trip doing dessert and coffee. It’s always so fun, and relatable, watching your videos but this one brought back great memories😊

Come to salisbury. Lots of history, shops etc. Very yummy food including cake, sausage rolls, cheese straws - freshly made etc. Rivers with real ducks and swans. Best of a wetherspoons pub with cheap drinks and a fake grass garden. PS also a home sense and tk maxx which could have raye dunn bits in.

ha! i cant believe you ended up at the grey dog of all places. That was a favorite afterwork hangout of mine in my early twenties. The highline nearby is actually an old frieght railroad line that delivered to the warehouses in chelsea, so its at a weird height that gives you a cool view of the city. I’m also originally from Staten Island and always appreciate the ferry getting some love, a pretty cool commute to work for us natives.

The “man in a top hat” is Abraham Lincoln. Pay Day is so good! My mom and I joke that it’s the “healthy” candy bar in a pinch. 😋 The high line is reusing a section of old elevated train tracks. Before the subway was underground, they were all elevated. That’s why it’s at an odd elevation and runs so far. Did the kids like our flat American lemonade? I always get a kick out of the fizzy lemonade in the UK.

I was like I sure ive stayed there too. Top same hotel. Know what you mean, bit dated bit a great location. I was massively pregnant and with a toddler-we had a family wedding- so the location was amazing for us for central park. Looks like you had an awesome time x

I’d love to see you travel from LA to San Fran on Big Sur. We did it several years ago and it was the most beautiful drive . Stopping for the night in more rural California was wonderful

Great blog and vlog, really enjoyed comparing hols as myself and my son were there the same time (I'm the one that said hi to you in Dave & Busters) I was meant to ask you that day where you saw all the Rae Dunn. I went to the TJ Maxx on 18th street but they didnt have much but I did get cat food dishes (we dont even have a cat ... yet). Cant wait to see your haul video x

you should try Colorado in the USA, or Even come up to Canda, Vancouver is beautiful in the Spring or further east the Rokey mountains around Banff and Jasper are beautiful in the summer if you can't take the cold of a Canadian winter

you have to go to a national park in the US- like yosemite or yellowstone- maybe when the kids are like 8-10. they are incredible, even if you arent an outdoorsy person.

Fantastic....love this. I'm off to NY in October and I can't blooooody wait!! Is the metro the best way to get round then n how much is a ticket and how far can you go on it? Also is a NY pass worth it.. I have been looking at them but it's looking at approx £700 for the four of us. Does that sound about right and is it worth it? Also where is the best places to eat that dont cost a fortune? Any info and top tips will be muchly appreciated xx

Kat Harper the metro, is $2.75 for a bus or train. You get 1 transfer per use. If you get on an express bus it is something like $6.75 per bus trip. The metro is the best way to get around. Lots of different train lines in manhattan and even buses if you need, but trains are the best bet. For food, it depends what you like. If you want NY pizza kind of thing then you can go to a 2 Bros Pizza. Regular slices should be around a $1.00 There’s a lot of stuff, I can give you more info if you need it. I’ve lived here pretty much my whole life.
