When I bought my house and moved in, I didn’t realize how much stuff I needed. Pots, pans, cutting board, kitchen knives, house cleaners, tools for house repairs, vacuum, furniture, etc. You get the picture. Owning a house is such a responsibility. The only thing I miss about living in an apartment was there was less maintenance on it. But I still love owning a house. My cousin lives with me and I only charge her $400 for one room but she gets full access to my house except the master bedroom and bathroom. She had it easy and it helps me with my mortgage payment. Do you plan on buying a house one day?
Sending you so much love. We will always be here for you ❤ it’s ok to feel however you feel. Those of us who care will be here for you during the good times and the not so good
You’ve built a life for yourself from the ground up. There will be challenges and outside forces that will attempt to tear you down but there is beauty in that struggle because in the end you will win and it will just be a little blip in time compared to the beautiful life you will create moving forward! YOU GOT THIS! You have a village behind you.
Yay an upload! I rescued a dog this year and its been AMAZING but the first few months were really rough with crate training and separation anxiety. You have to be willing to spend lots of time on training and be prepared not to leave a lot while they are working through the separation anxiety 🫣. I’d say give it a year or so to travel, go out at night, etc and then reconsider. I wouldn’t have been sane without my boyfriends help who lives with me!
Terribly sorry that you're going through such a difficult time. 😞 Thank you for always being genuine, for sharing your highs and lows. There's so many things going on in your life and I wish you the best.
Hey, Keegan! You're a year behind me, so it's fun to watch you go through things that I've just gone through. Just know that your true followers will still be here if you need to take a break to set new boundaries. You are a whole human outside of RU-vid. Lots of love from Missouri!
Hi Keegan! I am so sorry that you had to deal with whatever was going on in your life, but just know that we are all here for you for the ups and downs. I hope things get better! Like every time you post, I was so happy!! I appreciate it so much that you still vlogged even though you had so much going on. Thank you!
literally love your videos keegan !!! so relatable and so relieving knowing i’m not the only one going through hard times! thanks for always entertaining us!!
So so happy to finally be caught up with your content. It’s so exciting to see what you get up to. Love you so much. It’s okay to stress out about these things.
Get a puppy!!! I got one when I was 23, now I'm almost 33 and feel like he's been with me through so many milestones in my life! He was with me through my move to a new city, a new job, every break-up, he's met my husband and pretty soon he'll get to meet our first child! It's so special! (But of course, with all that being said - dogs are kind of expensive and while you CAN have them in an apartment, you just need to make sure you're taking them on walks multiple times a day to get them outside/get exercise. And of course if you travel, you have to find someone to watch them. You can't be gone all day because your dog will need fed/need to go outside. So they're definitely a commitment, but they're also so special!)
i cannot wait for the moving and decorating vlogs 😍 I have tried to read when the crawdads sing but I just could not get into it even though I read everywhere that this book is so good!
Hey gorgeous keegan. I love you so much and I'm so incredibly proud of you on how far you have come in your youtube journey. I love you how are videos are very artistic. Your mom is very beautiful and you have a beautiful family. I love how you're videos feel like you are video chatting with a friend. I watching your videos whenever I'm having a stressful day or busy day because you're videos make my day a whole lot better. And I can't wait to see what's for you in your next chapter in life. I'm incredibly proud of you keegan. See you in your next video love you so much ❤
Where The Crawdads Sing is my favorite book! I absolutely love Taylor’s song and cannot wait for the movie! I’m so excited for all the new apartment content coming up!
Your feelings are valid! One thing my behavioral therapist told me is that our life is a season whatever it is that you’re going through it’ll pass and whatever it is that you are feeling is okay!!
Just started to watch. "You know when you have circumstances and then at least this going for you but then they're not" YES.. Stressed... Yet still being thankful.. The thing about the mental health/stress/spiral thing is to validate you, I am totally the same way. I wish I had better coping skills but I do understand. I think it's completely normal to feel both "blessed AND stressed". It's so frustrating when things fall apart at the same time. You'll get through this. Sending compassion.
Hi, sweetheart. I’m sorry that you’re going through such a rough patch, but I promise that you will get through it and you will learn from the experience. As a designer, I feel I should offer you some advice when it comes to furnishing your first apartment. So here goes: 1) What is cute/trendy now will change (as will your tastes and needs), so don’t waste your money on new items (especially custom ordered pieces). I’ve found that I have what I call “design ADD” (where my tastes change as frequently as my attention shifts). To indulge this without going into debt, I buy almost everything secondhand (FB Marketplace, Offer Up, Craigslist, thrift stores, garage sales, etc.). I live in a suburb of LA, so I find the coolest stuff for great prices as long as I’m willing to drive. I strategically schedule my pickups all on one day, so I save money on gas (don’t backtrack). So many people stick with pieces they no longer love or need because they know how much they paid for it. Give yourself the freedom to try on different styles and furniture pieces like you would with Amazon purchases that you can return. More often than not (95% of the time), I can sell my furniture for more than I paid for it. This gives me the flexibility to buy whatever I want on a whim without feeling guilty, and it’s better for the environment. Plus, I can afford to buy much bettter quality pieces when I find them secondhand. 2) In design, you want to create a space that marries form with function. With the advent of IG and Pinterest, I feel that so many people are making stupid purchases based off of what they perceive to be beautiful and trendy without ever considering what it takes to maintain these pieces. The cloud sofa is a prime example. It looks so comfy and luxurious, but in reality it’s incredibly bulky, sloppy and too unstructured to be comfortable or practical for guests (unless your only guests are young people coming over in PJs to binge watch your favorite series). Also, if you are planning to get a pet, I highly suggest getting a slipcovered sofa, so you can clean it easily and toss it in the wash when you need to. I bought my current slipcovered Pottery Barn sofa (secondhand for $100) and, despite being white, it is pretty easy to maintain and cleans up beautifully. Kids, pets, and my clumsy family members have not been able to ruin it yet. 3) When you’re looking to buy furniture and decor, think about how you’re going to clean it and prevent it from getting ruined. I love decor and tchotchkes, but I hate dusting, so open shelving is something I try to avoid. If you hate washing windows, you’re going to hate having mirrors and glass surfaces around your home. I love the look of marble, but it’s so porous and delicate that I refuse to have it in anything larger than a coaster. 4) Since you’re planning to move in a year or so, buy furniture that is flexible and can be positioned in many different layouts in different room (avoid sectional sofas for now). Focus on getting the scale right too (enormous furniture in a small room will make anyone feel claustrophobic). If you do buy a larger sofa, try to get one with a higher back so when you (or your guests) sit down, you can rest your head on the cushion and not the wall behind it. If you need any more helpful hints or advice, please feel free to message me. I’m also happy to help you find what you’re looking for at a fraction of the price (it’s my hobby). I’d love to see what you have put together so far and I’m pretty sure everyone else does too.
I love my dog so much and when I consider that he will be the dog that raises my kids (they don't exist yet) it makes me cry because I'm so excited for that to happen
Hi Keegan! I get free books off of the Book Store on my phone, and those last me about a week at a time! There's a huge selection to pick from, so I never run out of books to read. I hope your week is going a little bit better, and keep your head up!
The soundtrack in the furniture store was a PAID ACTOR lol. Hearing cowboy like me in the back of your vlog was a spiritual experience. Love to hear that you're getting back into reading! Totally here for any bookish content you put in your vlogs :) lol. I'm so sorry you're going through it right now in your personal life! When I was going through something really difficult, someone told me "this isn't going to be your life forever" and anytime things seem overwhelming and awful, I remind myself of that. Everything is just a phase, you are valid in any negative feelings you are having and allow yourself to sit in those feelings for a little while-but just know that they won't last forever! loved this vlog, so happy to see the apartment content lately! Also-as far as the Where the Crawdad's Sing book, it is really boring and slow most of the way through-don't be afraid to skip the book and go right to the movie (I don't say that about most books but there is 100% chance the movie is going to be better than the book in this case)!
Hi keegan!!!!! Loving your vlogs amazing!!!!!!!!!! I have a request can you make video deeply on the process of moving in your 1 st apartment like can you give us hall , shopping , your mood boards and ideas and how you plan everything if you can , if you can’t no worries. Thank you & keep posting!!!!!!!!!!!
I honestly think your mom was right about the coffee table! If you get the right lighting I think you could totally make it look like how you had in mind. It was super cute! Also I loved those little glass cups, I'm so happy that you link everything you mentioned in the video in the description! I was super lucky when I moved into my first apartment because I didn't have to furnish it, I moved into my grandmother's old apartment when she moved into a long-term care home and so she left all of her old furniture behind, meaning that except for my bed (which I bought from a friend of my mom's), everything already came included in the apartment! Your videos have been super eye-opening into how much it actually costs to furnish a place! I wonder if you could do a video in the future once you're all moved into your apartment and have all your furniture, talking about how much it cost to furnish your place? That way unknowing people (like me) know how much things like this can end up costing!
its ok to have bad days. I also have bad days with my anxiety too especially around transitions it stresses me out for sure. I hope you are feeling better at-least today
Good morning keegan happy Friday morning and I loved your reset vlogs because you are amazing productive, every week I enjoy your channel because you are amazing Supporter
Keegan you should look at Furniture Affair (on Bell rd in Glendale) it's a furniture store where all the stuff there is discounted and is from show homes. We got some stuff from Anthropoligie and Pottery Barn at just a discount! So I recommend going there.

"A 15 year commitment. Like I'll be in my mid to late 20's in 15 years...." Can I age like you plan on aging? Haha.....hope the drama from before this blog gets resolved. Drama is no fun not matter what stage of life you are in.
I sometimes do a reverse image search on Google to see where that picture also shows up to see if any other websites have it. With the dog it’s cute it’s adorable never adopt a dog based on a picture you need to meet it and you need to see its temperament. But OK honestly hold off on adopting a dog simply because I was traveling a lot and it wasn’t fair to the dog to be in a kennel or away from me especially because when they’re puppies their work at the beginning with training
