Girl! You seem like you're just really close with your family which is such a beautiful thing and nothing to be ashamed of. I'm sure people 100% feel the reverse of that as well (ie living close to their family and never making the visit to see them). And your family probably LOVES that you visit them. Also if it is something that's filling your cup and going to make you better for your week going forward then that's amazing!

Girl, I just turned 25 and got married 6 months ago. I love my husband so much and love my new life and home with him, but I STILL cry sometimes because I miss not living with my mom anymore and I know that I never will again. It's ok to grieve something changing. I relate 100% and you are not alone or weird in feeling like this.

i also live in nyc and do back and forth to my parents' house on the weekends very often, especially in the summer because my dad has a boat lol. i'm 26. i will never let anyone make me feel bad about the amazing relationship that i have with my family and have no shame over it. i also think it has to do with the fact that i'm italian-american and in our culture, family should always be together and close to each other. like i can't even fathom living across the country from my family

I think what you experience that you share is not uncommon as we are wired for connections and you have fairly easy access and tools to go to your parents so going there frequently makes sense as it ensures your needs to be met. Seems like you are able to enjoy me-time, while strong longing for connections to others including your parents, and I think what you are sharing in this video does not make you less adult or anything like that 🙌 nothing to be ashamed of! I am glad talking about your feelings and thoughts out loud helped you in some ways tho anyway 💛

if someone wants to judge u for visiting home a lot, that clearly stems from their personal insecurities or jealousy. please do not feel guilty for wanting to go visit ur family a ton!!❤❤❤
