Sorry to hear about this. It happened to me also in my old house ironically 4 yrs after it was built. The same deal, the system just has to be approved and the state doesnt really enforce HOW its installed. So the lines were supposed to be chamber or gravel based. The builder used tire chips(apparently this was acceptable in 2004) inside my lines and everytime we had alot of rain my lines would back up into my house. At that time we just replaced all the lines 4k and not the tank. We also had to re-grade yard so not exactly the same thing as you but Did you ask if just the lines can be replaced and use same tank or is it required for whole system?
Is the septic system not covered in your Homeowners insurance? I would engage the company and see what can be done because I’m sure the deductible is less than $21K. Praying 🙏🏽 for you both!!!

She called ytbe!!! Because of ytbe new update it is shutting down/off on our end! We have to go back in and manually turn it back on. also make sure you gather up documents and save any and all recordings, photos, and video related to the matter. and if need be contact local media and get exposure. because sometimes companys get strong encouragement to do the right thing when they are put in the public eye

I'm a bit confused. If the issue is with the piping to the septic tank. Why would you need to replace the entire system. If you listen to the guy who installed it, it sort of sounds like a bypass of the old piping would resolve the issue. I agree with others when they say that it sounds like the company that you called would like you to spend more money than is possibly required. Also get a second opinion. Do your research, Yelp, Angies list, etc and find the most reputable highest rated company in your area and get their opinion as a second opinion before moving forward.
I don’t want to bandaid a problem that is highly likely to resurface later… the chambers were not packed in the ground properly from the start, so it’s a high chance that the entire piping has to be reinstalled. This should have NEVER occurred period. The mere fact that the contractor refused to come out and take a look at the issue speaks volumes. I’m definitely going to get a second opinion before repair.
I hate this happened to you guys, My husband and I have dealt with this same septic system issue last year, had to replace all the lines, only difference is it was not a 4 yr old septic system which I know is extremely more frustrating. But still unexpected. I pray that someone will see this and come through with great guidance and help. 🙏🏽
I hope you all got a second opinion. Not sure how handy you all are but it might of been cheaper for you all 2 rent a bobcat and at least do your digging yourself. Please please get a second opinion because those contractors that you all had doing the digging sounded a bit suspect as well. Good luck, you to stay up
also recommend filing a complaint with your states attorney general. there may be other families dealing with same issue and they may be able to identify a pattern and then take legal action against builder and / or plumbing company

Unfortunate situation, ol boy was very defensive on the line, that wasn't professional from his point. You got that conversation documented. He should humble himself attend the situation in better way.
Sorry to hear about your experience with your Septic Service Contractor/Next time find out from your Attorney General to see if that contractor and others are on the BBB list..they can find out about any ratings with anyone..Good Luck
Take out some equity that’s what it’s for… don’t sell the bikes… hope everything works out… I know the feeling… they want 20k for me to get gas heat. I’m still running oil heat
Fea it shouldn't cost that much did you get more estimates. Who ever you get to replace them need to install covers over them to protect them from ground settling. Hit me back.
Fea i did new construction plumbing for a few years and also have a Construction Business Management degree. He is right it should be leveled with just a small amount of fall on the pipe and should be in a straight line. They are supposed to tamp it out(pack the dirt) before they lay the pipe and the city inspector is supposed to rightfully approve it(which they are shady as hell). Builder’s only have a 1-2 year obligation to fix any problems. The builders and their contractors are a team. They work together against homeowners. And sometimes the setting of the house and ground can cause shifting and breaking issues. 4 years it should have or could shown up earlier.
Yeah… trying to get the builder and the contractor to work with us AINT GONNA HAPPEN! My builder still hasn’t called back to this day! But it’s all good “God don’t like ugly!”
I lived in NC and had a septic tank. How did yall inspection go before yall bought the house? Prays sent yall way. Side note friends have told me when you get a house build you have to get inspectors for the inspectors.

Things happen in life ,, look at my situation I had to sell me CVO for personal reasons but it had to be done never thought I would do it but I did, well to help u out I was thinking, take out a equity loan , sue the builder , or we as subscribes chip in like a go fund me or instead of selling ur bikes why don’t u raffle u bikes at $100 a ticket and give it a date for picking out the raffle. That’s one of great things about rap/hip hop……the beat, the message, and the delivery. Great rappers are able to deliver the message to different intellectuals.
