The time has come in the basketball season for me and the kids to head back to Atlanta from the UAE. While my husband is playing professional basketball overseas, the kids and I spend part of the season with him abroad and the other part at home so the kids can maintain a sense of life in America. We split their time between two countries and schools, so we take into account Spring Break and holidays when deciding when to leave a country.
We've thoroughly enjoyed our time in Sharjah, UAE, the little life we've built while abroad, the international school in Sharjah, and being able to build routines overseas. It's always a difficult decision for our family to split up temporarily between the States and the UAE, but we don't want Harper and Jaxson to miss out on special events, meaningful connections, and family time.
This week we're talking about this transition for our family and why I'm leaving the UAE, visiting a new mall in Dubai (Dubai Hills Mall), hitting the gym to use the last of my sessions with my trainer, my stay at home mom routine, celebrating Mother's Day in the UAE, Easter prep in a Muslim country including shopping for Easter basket prep, and doing a fun preschool St. Patrick's Day experiment with Harper.
