Yes - I know many of the designer jewelry is considered fashion jewelry vs fine jewelry (not full gold or etc). Based on my experience - it does not tarnish or irritate my skin - I have plenty of pieces that I've had for many years and it's worth the investment for me. You are right about leather, but unfortunately - I can't wear leather around my neck, finger or wrist 😊
