Get a side by side two door fridge, they have a bigger freezer capacity and I love the shelves arrangement. It is very pricy if aiming for 2 stars energy saving ratings but worth it.

If you buy alot of frozen products like meat a freezer would be more useful.However ,if you need more space for all kinds of food a bigger fridge will be more efficient.Also consider electricity consumption.

I would recommend the freezer since it is not everything you have in there you will be using daily. And also when you have food/pre boiled cereals in the fridge and you keep opening every now and then it may not last for long. This what has worked for me the fridge and freezer.

It's mostly about your specific needs. For example, I have a 200L fridge. Since I prefer batch cooking to ensure there are home-cooked meals throughout with my busy schedule, I saved and bought a chest freezer, and now my needs are met. I might buy a bigger fridge in future, but it's not an urgent need. Focus on your needs, mainly meal plans, food preparation and cooking (for hectic dishes) and you'll know what to get.

Maggie in my opinion, if you will still have your then old fridge, you can go for a freezer but if you will replace it with a new one then you can go for a fridge which is more spacious

You can also use the organizers in the fridge

Go for the Samsung family hub the side by side its quite pricy but worthwhile 💯

There are these fridges where the upper area is where the fridge is and lower area has the freezer (3 big drawer freezers). The freezer is really big same to fridge. You can try that for sake of saving on space and electricity

Yay! Maggie... Thanks for the amazing video as always. On the refrigerators, I would advise you go for a side by side fridge with freezer (anything from 600litres), and you'll never regret. You may think of adding another freezer, but still in time you'll still find that you need to upgrade your fridge. Would be better to save up and get side by side and you'll have so much space for both freezer and fridge. Though if you really really feel like you'd rather acquire an extra freezer, then get the upright freezer. It's great, organized and saves on space. Good luck 😘

If you batch cook then a freezer it is but if you dont, consider getting a fridge with bigger freezer..here its easier getting most things through out the year.

Hi Maggie... it's quite a dilemma because sometimes you need BOTH a big fridge and a big freezer. The side by side fridge/freezer is great but can it fit in your kitchen widthwise? 2. The tall fridges with freezer at bottom still don't cut it for me in terms of enough space. 3. I think a small deep freezer may work best...and you can get the one whose settings can be switched to fridge mode...so it can be a freezer when you want and a fridge when you want. I think that works because sometimes you have a lot of frozen food and need more freezer space. and other times you have lots of fresh food and want more fridge space. ...Hope you get what works for you. Love the content 💕

On the fridge /freezer part, I'd say a few aspects come to play. Family size, shopping routine (once p.m or twice p.m) and cooking habit (batch cooking for the month or weekly plan). I have the same fridge as you and we're just a family of two, hubby and i. I do a weekly meal prep and so move towards getting a bigger fridge, a two door to be exact with one side freezer and the other side fridge. Plenty storage I'd say even for a family of four. A freezer I'd consider if we grow or I change my cooking habit. Plus, for those using tokens, I find that the more you don't keep a steady purchase of tokens and instead add on to it, say from 4k p.m to 7k p.m, the rate of usage suddenly spikes and zinaisha way fast. So, I'd wanna think on energy consumption too.

I think for now,u can keep the fridge and buy a freezer, when babies start coming then you can buy a bigger fridge, i know back at home you guys have mama mbogas around na kiosks, for us living abroad a big fridge and a freezer work for us.

get yourself a chest freezer big enough to cater for your needs... I have a 190 litres chest freezer and a big fridge and they serve me so well for my need coz I do alot of batch cooking and keep lots of dog food too...
