My sister is acne prone and she noticed that when she went to bed with Greasy hair/ hair with loads of product in her skin gets really bad maybe change your pillow case every night or try a while without any hair product 💗
My sister was married last July and it poured with rain all day long! But, they had the most amazing photos with clear umbrellas and the grey skies, which they wouldn't have had otherwise! xx
Have you ever considered getting short pixie cut? It would REALLY suit you, and with gym / running it’s a simple wash & go. No styling required. Best thing I ever did.
Hi Zoe I just wanted to ask are you drinking Soya milk??? A year ago I started having soya milk in my coffee, at the same time I started having really bad skin in the exact areas you are having break outs. A friend of mine told me to stop drinking it because concern. Soy contains a high content of isoflavone,⁷ which is structurally similar to a type of estrogen. Just want to help as I know how horribly painful and self conscious acne makes you. Sending love and peace ❤
My skin got really bad after I started using the elemis cleansing balm. I was told to stop using it and my skin cleared up. Obviously, it still broke out around time of month but nowhere near as bad xx
I had the exact same reaction with the cleansing balm! I had very sore and red spots around my jawline! As soon as I stopped using it, the spots cleared
You’re complaining about your skin yet leaving Micellar water on it 😬😳😫! It’s a form of cleanser, it’s designed to remove makeup and SPF, if you think what ingredients it has to remove makeup, think what it’s doing to your skin when it’s being left on for hours. Micellar water should ALWAYS be washed off after, it can be used a 1st cleanse then something else (a foaming wash) after as a second cleanse. The odd brand market it as “no need to rinse off”, legally they can say that as it’s not dangerous, but logically and scientifically thats incorrect. They just say that so more people buy it, those who are too lazy to actually cleanse and clean their face properly. No wonder you’re braking out, the micellar water is stripping your skin and causing an unbalanced PH. I only ever use it to remove mascaras, then double cleanse my actual face.
@@charlottedanek973 I know, I sound way too passionate for something so superficial 🙈😂. It’s just annoying that certain brands use deceiving claims like “no need to rinse off” as a marketing tactic. It’s unfair on their customers who part with a lot of money. The amount of influencers I see using micellar water without rinsing it off makes me cringe for all their viewers who will go on to copy them. Josie Irons does it all the time 😩.
Zoe I have no doubt in my mind that you’re suffering with your skin because your hair is always greasy/sweaty from exercise and you don’t wash it every day so then you sleep on your pillow, and then all that grease and sweat is going onto your skin throughout the night. That’s if you change your pillow everyday. Nevermind if you change your bedding every 2 weeks x
Zoe I used to use that la Roche posay toner and the nurse who does my facials said it’s very harsh and strips your skin too much when used daily as it’s exfoliating. I stopped using it and I use what she prescribed now and my skin is definitely feeling better.
Just to add to the above it’s probably best to stick to one skincare rather than jump between lots of products. Hope you get sorted in time for your wedding ❤
You are wiping the spots with the same cotton wool pad that you are then using on the rest of your face. Maybe try and stop that to stop it spreading ❤
Gorgeous vlog! Anyone else getting sooooo emotional when Zoe’s dad started talking and giving advice. He reminds me so much of my dad. Wow we’re so lucky and blessed ♥️
What grt advice from your Dad - all so true 100%. I have just been to a wedding where it poured with rain all day but it had no bearing on the day at all - it was a brilliant wedding for a brilliant couple. Wish you & Danny a gorgeous day.
Zoe with regards to your skin have you ever used cerave? I use to break out alot and nothing really worked until i used that i use the foam cleanser and the spf 50 moisturiser (Im fair skinned 😂) and it works wonders for me! I love elmis products but my skin doesnt! It breaks me out! I have sensitive skin.
You need to cleanse your face TWICE when you remove your make up - you also need to be gentle over your spots and not rub them ferociously like you do , also you are then using a dry ass rough towel afterwards yet again irritating them more AND spreading them across your face . Miscellar water is not going to help you need a basic cleanser and moisturiser , your spots are hormonal meaning it’s stress , over exercising or diet - you really need some tretanoin but nothing is going to be a quick fix tbh .. just please stop rubbing them so much they look soo sore u it wad making me cringe watching you do that 😭
Have missed your vlogs!!! ❤ Also I’m fairly positive about this but I’m not a doctor, but ‘plant’ collagen is just BS collagen only exists from animals, from bones/ cartilage etc so plant collagen is more or less non existent. I would get a marine collagen which are the best! Taste a bit shit but it massively helped me when I had hormonal acne!
I had troubles with my skin exactly the same as you for years!! I went on Accutane in the end and I’ve had clear skin since. One big thing I noticed and my dermatologist said, was eating fruit can cause flare ups? I used to have a smoothie every morning and stopped and noticed a huge difference with how aggressive my spots were and how often they were coming up! Just thought to mention as you eat a lot of fruit 😃 really annoying but helpful!! Xx
Delighted that we have another weekend vlog from ypu. I love spending the day with me style video. Relaxing to watch. It's great to have Danny in the vlog. The day fast approaching, brilliant to see you both so happy and content! Your skin is glowing and looks so much better. Hope you are both well 🧡🧡
I know how you feel with your skin mine was so much worse I’ll share my journey to give you some food for thought. I believe mine was high cortisol hormonal acne caused by a lot of exercise and a horrible boss at work. I was forced to change during lockdown and omg the difference within the first few weeks. I no longer had to see my boss in person and I couldn’t hammer the gym. I switched to home workouts less intensity. I stripped everything back cleansed with cerave hydrating cleanser, moisturised with the cerave moisturiser. I used duac gel prescribed by the dr and that’s it! Switched to natural deodorant (salt of the earth if your hormones are off normal deodorant stops the detoxification process). I cut out all plant based milk and butter I believed dairy caused it but it didn’t! Whole milk is what you need I know it has more fat but honestly the oils in plant based “dairy” are extremely inflammatory. I then took a probiotic and prebiotic along with zinc magnesium and vitamin d. Wishing you luck Zoe ❤
Hey! Just a recommendation for your skin, sudocream is amazing- it sounds strange to use it on acne but honestly it has helped me so much and my acne used to be horrendous! It dries up the spots but heals them very quickly. Just something that might help if nothing else does xx
I actually loved this vlog, when you said it was rubbish I was like what 😂 I use 47 skin (brand) on my skin and it has CLEARED IT UP!! Really recommend! ❤
Hi Zoe, I find that collagen supplements and biotin make me break out very badly. If your acne started around the time you started taking supplements it could be a cause. Hope you get it sorted xx
I was on the same kind of antibiotics when I was suffering with acne and they worked really well for me. Although the first time I came off them, the acne came back after a few months so I went back on them again but then it never really came back as bad after that so I hope they work for you too 😊
Zoe i have struggled with my skin for over 10 years had all the medications except the ones needing derm referral! The only thing that has actually helped my skin is facials (peels) i would recommend to book one💞
I used to get spots along my jawline and I was advised to get agnus castus. I had it every morning with water and it cleared my skin up! You can’t use it with hormonal contraception though ❤
❤ love your Sunday vlgos Zoe! Even if there isnt anything that exciting happening 😅 so chill and your consistency is 👌🏼 hope your skin starts to clear up, horrible being self conscious especially when you havent suffered with something before and then all of a sudden its there! It really doesnt come across as bad as it must feel for you though so dont worry! X
I absolutely adore your Dad!! What an absolute legend & such wise words! I watch a lot of youtubers and don’t often comment, but I absolutely love it when I see you’ve uploaded. I’m 36 (3 kids) and only about a year into my fitness journey, you inspire me SO much. You’re so down to Earth and relatable, I just really wish you knew the impact you have on people like me at home. Love your positivity and authenticity, you’re truly such a breath of fresh air! Just also seen Danny’s Hyrox video on instagram and he is doing great; He’s such a natural on camera !
I would recommend investing in a dermatologist vs going to the doctors because I didn’t see any improvements with my skin until I visited a dermatologist Also, I’m thinking that sleeping with greasy hair after work outs etc is what could be causing you break outs because all of that rubs into your pillow and then your face into the pillow if that makes sense x
Zoe, I have really bad dermatitis and psorisis, when I say bad, I mean like 80% of my body's covered. My face has always been pretty good, I only suffer on my hairline, but over the last 6 months OH MY GOD, the spots I started getting, the scabs, the spots UNDER my skin - so bad. Anyway. I'm pretty clued up on my skin care game and knowledge. Try avoid anything with fragrance in on your face. I can recommend the brand 'medik8'. Also a good exfoliator, I use 'clinique exfoliator' Keep using the stuff your GP gave on your chin (anywhere it gets bad) but avoid avoid avoid fragrance products when your suffering. (I swear it's the stress of wedding planning haha. I get married in October and I swear it's only gotten bad over the last 6 month since I started planning). Love the fact your not hiding it. Or ashamed. Remember it's totally normal and your beautiful xx
Are you embarrassed about vlogging yourself at events or getting your camera in general?? Just film around you!! Also, if you hadn’t used that footage of you talking about it, we would never have known any of this!!
Zoe ive just noticed u have spoke about obaji. I started using this stuff but the company dont believe in moisturiser. I used the cleanser and then the complex renewal pads and my face blew up it went bright red... I was told this was part of the process which ive since been told is incorrect and no skincare company tell u this. When i asked why they dont usevmoisturiser i was told thatvmoisturiser is toxic.... Wat the hell!!! Be very very careful with this product because i paid alot of money for a product that wrecked my skin and wud hate for this to happen to you. I have since changed my skincare routine and none of it has brought my skin out red and stinging and yes its medical grade and if u wish to use there products again u will need to go for a skincare review as u cant buy thesecproducts in a shop and i guarantee u they will try and sell u more products. There is literally only a few youtube vids online about it.
You’re gorgeous and your spots really aren’t as noticeable as you think! But I hope those antibiotics work, nothing worse than your confidence being shot by silly spots! It does look like you may need to simplify your skin routine, micellar water before cleansing and a gentle moisturiser in the day. Maybe dab a treatment cream at night on the affected areas😇
I actually think you need to stop using the Elemis cleansing balm, it made me break out and don’t think it will be helping. Obagi too was way too strong for me and made my skin way worse trust me!! I really think less is more, I just use simple face wash and garnier face cream and get regular herbal face peels. They’ve helped soo much more than any of the other products!
Have no issues with people talking about sponsored things but i think when it's either something with supplements or medication we should be cautious what we listen to. Because saying 'yeah it's really helping my skin' but then going to see a dermatologist for poor skin clearly it's just being said as its sponsored and saying the 'good stuff' but again actually not knowing what something actually is or we we need it in a supplement..
Hey Zoe. Im 22, my skin randomly got bad about a year ago in the same place you have yours. I tried every product I could, including La Roche Posay, but when I stopped using it I realised it made it worse. All I use now is the Elemis Cleansing Balm, then the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, to get the remainder of the oils out of my face. They are the only 2 products I use now each evening and it’s cleared my skin up completely. Even just try it for two weeks and see what happens. Hope this helps x
Awww darling you have such a lovely dad. You always look gorgeous, i always suffered with painful spots on my jaw line, definitely was hormonal. Also Elmis cleansing didnt help. X
Zoe try some witch hazel on the flare ups, it helps them dry up faster and it’s a natural cleanser so can swap the cleanser for that after, I would suggest double washing though maybe get a mild cleanser like leroche posey what ever it’s called haha. Looks hormonal from the area, I’m getting the same in the same area 😫 27 years old with acne it’s not fair! 😅
Zoe, I’d recommend cutting out oat milk and switching to almond milk as an alternative to dairy to help your skin. My friend had a similar situation with her skin and realised it was actually oat milk that was causing the acne! X
We got married in April and we too were worried by the weather. But, our wedding co-ordinator said to us that rain can make a day so much more special. You won't have people in shades squinting at the sun, and it can make some incredible photos! We were incredibly lucky with our weather but just like your dad said, it doesn't matter what the weather is like, you are there to marry the person you love! And it'll be incredible no matter what x
Awww your dad 😊 my mum was my best friend in the whole world, but I don't have the same relationship with my dad, he's not easy to chat to about things, it's such an effort, so this is lovely to see x
Your dad talking about your wedding 🥰 you just need a few hours of no rain on your wedding day, our photographer was desperate for it to rain and our rain pictures are our favourites! Bury a sausage as the tradition says
I had a bad outbreak of spots and redness recently, I tried lots of things and the only thing that worked absolutely has totally cleared it is La Roche Possay - Toleriane Cleanser and the same but Sensitive Moisturiser. Just these two and they have finally helped! Never had bad skin till recently so totally know how you feel. Lovely vlog as always Zoe, your Dad is lovely and gives good advice ❤
We got married in November and the weather was forecast to be rubbish but on our wedding day it was so sunny. Also been to a wedding when it was raining and the pictures they got were amazing! Your dad is so right, you’ll make the most of whatever weather making your day super special ❤
Not finished video yet ❤you really are a comfort to watch lol I don't know if that makes sense or if I said it weird 😂 anyways though wanted to say about your skin because it seems to be in same area that having the problem which different break out places mean different things and the low jawline is a hormone area what I've read is increase in androgen levels. Possibly from stress....
That’s exactly what I was prescribed for my skin and literally was cured! Took the course of them and then never had a skin issue again since. Good luck, I know how frustrating it can feel sometimes x
Accutane is almost guaranteed to clear acne for good, dianette and spironolactone are also good treatments if you have very resistant acne (ive been on accutane twice and am currently on dianette and spironolactone and i use a topical antibiotic but i still get spot's! 😢) but most women arent unlucky like me! 😭
If it is due to rain on your wedding day plant a sausage in the garden the morning of your wedding and the sun should come out. It’s an old wives tale but proven to work!
I honestly wouldn’t worry about the weather on your wedding day. On your day you won’t even notice it because you are so so busy and everyone else around you will look after you so they will be on hand to pick your dress up if it’s wet under foot and they’ll be there with umbrellas too! Trust me, you’ll be fine! Love your videos as always ❤ xxx
Hey Zoe, I experienced exactly the same skin as you leading up to my wedding so I feel your pain 😞 the only thing that cleared it was Roaccutane. Hope you get it sorted xx
Also I used to take lymecycline and they cleared my skin whilst I was on them, but once I stopped my acne came back😩 hopefully they’ll clear your skin for the wedding though
Love the weekly vlogs and waking up on a Monday morning (in Melbourne) to your vlogs Zoe! On my wedding day, we had rain & they say it’s the best luck to have rain on your wedding day! We were told by our photographer to buy see through umbrellas & photos with umbrellas can look gorgeous! Highly recommend.
Zoe just to make you aware if you get anything topical from the doctors for you skin like differin etc your skin will likely purge for a few weeks before it gets better! So if you’re worried about your wedding it may be best to wait as it can make your skin quite flakey too ❤️
We had thunderstorms on our wedding in June last year. The power even cut out for an hour. At that point I didn't care! It's just about enjoying the day 🥰
Yes zoe i was saying to my mum cang wait for zoes vlog this week !!! Have u syill gt a abbot lyon dizzy count also all them collagen supplements made my skin horrendous and stopped my periods be careful even my vitamins made my periods bad xx
I can relate to hating evening workouts/runs but that amazing rush of endorphins after! Also the hair wash day dilemma! 😂 Your dad is such a sweetheart, reminds me of my own dad 💙 Would love to see more vlogs with you and your dad training together. I do runs with my dad once a week and loved watching your last one 🥰🥰
I am so like you with the hair thing. I talk myself out of washing it as if I have a run or gym session it is just a waste of washing, feel your pain with the hair and cannot be asked !
It rained on my wedding day, the registrar made a lovely comment about wet knots being the hardest to undo 🫶🏻 it also miraculously cleared up for 10mins after our ceremony for photos. We had the best day and looking back, I really love that it rained as we have that story ❤️
