Mother’s day is meant to celebrate mothers, so if you have one you should celebrate them. It sounds like you do nice things for your mom all the time and that’s why it doesn’t seem like a big deal but … as a motherless child, if my mama was here i would spoil her daily and make mother’s day her grand finale 🤣

This is one of the only creators I saw transition so easily to motherhood and doesn’t overload us with just family or house stuff . There’s always a fine balance . I love it !!! ♥️🔥

Alicia & her husband definitely seem to balance things very well. They still take time for themselves & as a couple. Most times you see the child(ren) consume everything.

Maybe instead of buying Mother’s Day gifts, just spend quality time together. Our parents are getting older. IMO time is the best gift ❤

I think it’s a little weird. Your mom didn’t stop being a mom when you became one. I hope you honored her. Not to get heavy but as a daughter who lost her mom in 2021 I wish I could have her here to honor or shower with gifts…big or small. Love your content ❤

I went to Alabama last week (downtown) surrounding areas we went for drinks and also did the cigar bar it was pretty good definitely not for shopping (clothes) did some museums after that it was time to hit the road back to ATL okay for a few hours/day get away it can be a culture shock depends where you coming from LOL😀 it’s great to take day trips next week I’m going to TN😆

No, it's not weird to NOT buy a Mother's Day gift. I place the focus on honoring my mom & other mom's the way THEY would feel most appreciated in the most authentic way to me. I do think your rationale for not wanting to purchase a gift (because you're a mother now) is different, and I personally can not relate to that. I'm sure you did what was right for you, and that's all that matters. Mother's Day is every day. Don't let the calendar pigeon hole you. 😊

I love purchasing new journals for use now or later. I decide to write in them about life or what I am thinking but I always end of ripping the pages out and storing the journal for another use for later. I think I worry that someone will get a hold of it and read my secret thoughts. I am curious as to what you do with the journals once you have filled it up? I feel like writing in them will give me a release and it may even be therapeutic. What does writing in the journals do for you? 😊

I also do the random gift thing so my mom doesn't get a big mother's day gift; just a cup of her favorite specialty ice cream from a boutique shop. 3 weeks later she gets a big birthday gift/ experience 🤷🏽‍♀️
