8-17-96 Bizarre Festival, Germany First track is probably my second favorite from Pinkerton. My favorite is probably 'the good life' but they dropped that from the set.
No One Else is my favorite Weezer song. And yeah while the blue album isn't underrated, not many people know the song unless they're big fans. No casual listeners really know it, unfortunately
After Pinkerton, they thought “let’s never do that again” and green happened. They tried to be themselves, but the thing is, they weren’t themselves. They were expressing themselves and got slammed by critics, so then they tried to please the critics with what they liked, not what they wanted to do
i love how the camera just shows the audience in the start. really gives you a sense of the mood and feel around that time of the 90's, especially the couple making out in the lower left.
@@greatknightcyber1131 Matt left then Mikey Welsh replaced him until 2001 when Mikey left. Then Scott Shriner replaced Mikey and Scott has been their bass player since.
What sucks now is given how their audience and music has changed over the years, people now don't jump around or mosh at their concerts. I know they've kinda mellowed out, but I saw them perform the entire "Everything Will Be Alright in the End" album at a recent concert at the Belasco and there were a BUNCH of moments where people could rock out super hard, but nobody did. Their audience is too tame these days. When I look at videos like this I get super jealous that I wasn't old enough at the time to attend these past concerts.
SniperFreak77 I do have to mention this though--I went to Burgerama last month and saw Weezer, and the crowd was awesome. They knew how to have fun. I never thought I'd be singing Beverly Hills at the top of my lungs with people around me crowd surfing.
Epic old school Weezer gig ! "No one Else" is seriously good live here, crazy to see the two making out but it's what happened before people were more into capturing it with their phones. Good old fashion gig vibes...
I actually have the same exact guitar that Rivers is playing in this performance. It's a '97 Fender Big Apple Strat. w/ Seymour Duncan double humbucker pickups. Anyhow, it's an awesome guitar.
Rivers' strat is a Warmoth strat in sonic blue with a Seymoure Duncan TB59 for the bridge pickup and a DiMarzio Super Distortion II as the neck pickup. It also has the black ice mod for a boost and a Warmoth Replacement neck.
"when i start to feel that p--good ol' fashioned girl" 🤨🤨🤨🤨 it'd be better if he had kept singing the wrong lyric instead of changing back in the middle of the sentence lmao
@@katitherat Big sell outs, on a sell out tour, with a Simpson's d character band name supporting act; and another one named after weed. STFU yourself.
