Holy shit dude, this was awesome until we got to the end... way to kill a happy song.

Such a pity that people can't tell this is the kids interpretation of the song and he's not wrong it's not about just having fun stuff to do in his garage the song is a testament to being an outcast with no one there to enjoy any of the things he does with him and the garage being the only place that makes him feel safe from the ridicule he takes from everyone outside of it. Man people are so shallow and selfish to see it that it's just a song about having his favorite stuff and how much he has fun in the garage.Think outside the realm of of your little world the worlds not about just you and your beliefs songs are meant to give you a view of something you might not otherwise consider or relate to.

I really liked this until the end. When I listen to this sing I related with the lyrics and to me it was about doing what toy enjoyed and not caring if it wad popular or not. Never did suicide come to mind with this song.

I agree this isn't a sad song but this dude totally made it work that way especially if you've experienced a very long amount of time where you were all alone.

This is my song of the week, and I was looking for the video but I found this instead. I’m having a bad time, and this is how I exactly feel. The song is happy and joyful, but the video is not exactly what most people feel. And I understand it, you will understand it when you feel like the music and the video at the same time. Even though it's at least 10 years after the songs release, I think this is a really good put together video. Almost nailed the songs meaning. But instead used it for the newer generations feelings. Good stuff.
