Definitely Gotta come back to this every once & a while! 😮💨🔥 then you gotta listen to Cannon after this & then rewind 🤯 if only we could go back to this time in life! 😩 good times!
Some of us rmbr bro trust. Going Home from school everyday rushing to see what Wayne dropped today. That 07-10 rum was magical. That was a moment in rap no rapper will ever duplicate ever again. He was a rockstar
Used to listen to this like 14- 15 years old now creepin on 30. Rap is not the same and prime Wayne is something we were all blessed to witness. Literal lyrical GENIUS
Lmao im bout to be 30 as well, this was literally on replay back when i was 15 as well . Blowin big ass tree in the back of my friends honda prelude in the snow ❄️
“Like Eli, I’m from New Orleans, I’m a giant in this bitch, move the G and add an S and put the I before the N and put the A in front of that and that is what I am to the end” that’s the best bar between these two songs, No argument.
@Chef__AB shootin when we pull up like Urkel waist! Sip syrup got me moving at a turtle pace but quick draw pop out like a turtle face! Paid in full you can't murk the ace. I kill your beat then beat the murder case hmmmm 😅😅
This was a crazy ass time. A quiet time in hip hop between ringtone rap and drill when there was only Young Money/MMG on the radio and Gucci Mane for the streets.
jordand623 the fact that this nigga doesn’t write either...him and Jay-Z fucked the game up. Got every 2000’s baby thinking they can go into a booth without writing a damn thing either lol.
Carlos Marte facts every new rapper (young thug, gunna, lil Uzi vert, and lil baby just to name a few)doesn’t write and that’s because of Wayne and Jay.
Depends. When it comes to bs rap or witty metaphors wayne might be the best, he's always lacked subject matter for the most part. But technical and lyrically you got dudes like MF DOOM or aseop rock. Which objectively, have better technical abilities and knows their way around a bar like nobody else. I find it corny and hard to enjoy but credit where it's due.
Devan Bishop wayne has subject matter when he wants to. he just doesn’t do it every song. Which I mean a lot of artists don’t do it every song. Sometimes you gotta just have fun The unique think about him is his versatility
Call me crazy, but this is definitely in my top 10 tracks from Wayne just because it bangs no matter how long it has been. I call it one track because I dare you to listen to one without the other...you can't. People are sleeping on this song
A lot of people don't even know about it. Idk how many Wayne fans I've shown this song to that hadn't heard it before. Kinda makes sense. This is when Wayne was dropping a tape like every 6 weeks.
@palmerstile9379 I'm pretty sure it was actually from Gudda Gudda's mixtape Guddaville. Likely why it isn't quite as well known despite being a total banger.
Back in the day guddas verse was underrated. Compared to stuff now his verse is actually fuego. Wayne completely bodied them. Verses are still legendary status to this day. Sheesh
Kendrick meat riders will never understand what this man has done for the culture. Kendrick’s obviously a good rapper but putting him above Wayne is just blatantly insane I think considering Wayne’s versatility, skill, longevity and catalog. The internet is sick, some of these “hip hop” fans in 2024 need a fr mental check if Wayne ain’t in there all time top 5. Dude is just too good I don’t understand
We need to make sure someone hears this in the year 2050. His ability with words should be remembered with the Shakespeares in History. This man is inebriated just pulling words out his ass. He's surprising himself with his lil chuckles
Definitely one of the hardest rap songs ever period. Wayne dropped so many damn bars smh…. “Don’t get caught in the blings and keep ya curtains straight”
