We see daily how far from normal working people westminster is. Just scraped £300 pound winter fuel payments for pensioners. While mp,s keep there £3000 winter fuel payments. Shouldn't starmer have removed their winter payment to show leadership. But no doubt they will claim it on expenses.
Easier to blame anyone who values this country as far right, as often they consist of ordinary citizens of this country and a handful of Indian Asians like me. Starmer hasn't the gall to call aggressive protesters at Free Palestine demonstrations as far right because he desperately needs their votes and support. What Starmer is doing is creating tensions in the population. The tension is because the large influx of people from mainly Islamic countries do not share the values we hold on free speech, freedom of religion, freedom of press, freedom of thought and freedom to choose. Many have left oppressive regimes in their country but find it difficult to adjust to the freedoms here. It is frightening for them as they are unable to function in a free society which is contradictory to their religious and cultural beliefs that keeps them functioning within strict parameters. My problem is no matter what, it will be difficult to integrate such people and Starmer is making it worse by going softly on these people by giving them special dispensation for just being Muslim. Christians, Hindus, Chinese, Jews and all other non Muslim religious groups just have to get on with life regardless. Where is the support for us???
