This is dedicated to Ashley, who recently rewatched the show with me and launched me back into my Untamed era. Your love of Jiang Cheng was a big part of what inspired me to get out this half-finished edit and complete it after over a year of editor's block.
I started this edit about 3 years ago, long before the Great Stranger Things Running Up That Hill Revival of 2022. I've loved Kate Bush's music for years, but I chose this cover for this edit specifically because I felt like the intensity and aggression expressed in this rendition of the song fit the story I wanted to tell about Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian's tumultuous brotherhood better than the more subdued sound of the original. I love both, though, and honestly I probably listen to the original much more.
