Great video! We've been watching you for a few months now and we quite enjoy being a part of your adventures. Oh, and as a connoisseur of puns, I just love the jokes, Angela! (I was a teacher for many years...private tooter 😄). Needles Highway is remarkable! We spent a few weeks in the area in 2016 (from Canada). We'll be heading to your wonderful country again this winter. Hoping to see you on the road (and I'd like to meet the dogs 😊).
Cody has an interesting evil laugh! Eris loves her Daddy! After this video Beverly said let's go to South Dakota. I've always wanted to see Mt. Rushmore!
Cody: I know that you love your ostrich boots, but you are a better man than I, rock hopping in cowboy boots! As an old man I miss rock hopping, but my ankles just won’t handle it. You da man! Angela, keep up the humor! You guys make my day!
I was born and raised in the Black Hills and get back to the area as often as possible, and will retire there. The sparkles on the ground and in the rocks is Mica, or at least that is what I was told 50 years ago. Enjoy your channel, thanks for posting.
That was definitely a bumpy ride, check your fillings! I have been to Deadwood and Sturgis on motorcycle trips and it’s beautiful. Small towns are the bomb slower way of life and friendly people. I enjoy your sense of humor Angela, Cody brother you have your hands full. Like how down to earth y’all are that’s what I makes your channel fantastic. Cody I’ve been watching awhile now and wonder if you’ve had many issues with your rig?
haha! We had some issues early on, but the manufacturer took care of us pretty well. We had a roof issue, a fridge issue (loving our 12v now though) and some electrical. Knock on wood, we've had some good luck since then.
Hey guys something we lobe telling people is how we had a prarie dog when we had our first apartment together. We use to live in Gollette Wyoming and yes loved the Badlands we spent a lot of time in South Dakota. You showed us a couple roads we never went to so adding them now and that was a great lake we need to check out. Your dogs had a good time exploring it was so cute watching them looking out the window they were very observant like our puppies. We agree with the area of Wyoming and South Dakota qe always had good service and met many great people! You were cracking us up with the mail service....Great honest tips! 😊
I see you did the airbag test. I learned this by experimenting with the pressures for the most comfortable ride also. One thing I do is adjust if needed to put more weight on the rear axle if it's raining for more traction. Great video! Happy camping!
Same reason I always buy 4x4. Because Getting stuck on wet grass is embarrassing. And I buy cherries all the time for the kids and now they're $6/lbs here... ridiculous..
Haha I never measure anything! I used a recipe under the name ‘3 ingredient samoas’. Here’s their recipe (below) but ultimately I just use the banana and coconut, bake them until they solidify and eat them. The recipe calls for them to crisp up a bit, so you can see how you like them. 1 banana 1/2 c. coconut 1/4 c. melted chocolate Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes on parchment paper, or until golden. You can bake longer if preferred. We have been making these for a year, when we need a sweet fix and the strict measurement doesn’t impact too much. Make them how you like them!
It's SO nice! I am a fan of having the digital weights. My thought is that if something ever came up, I have some form of documentation and history to show. I guess that could bite you too..ha! Thanks for watching!
We live in Pleasant View Tn just outside of Nashville. We know how busy and commercialized it is up there. But we found backroads and other ways to get around. But I think going out west would be better in the summer mounts due to the last minute snow storms they have. But if we see you out there next year we will say hi.
We were in Rapid City at HTR Black Hills 3 wks ago and just barely got setup before the storm came. There was pea sized hail. Noticed a few dings on the truck and the decals on the side of the camper were dinged a little but nothing major. I have to agree... SD is beautiful.
I laughed SO hard at this comment! LOL! It's true! They turned out to be super nice people. I think they were as surprised with the ride as we were. Haha
We really enjoy your videos. Always a great job. Quick question, what tires are you running on your 350? We are getting close to needing to replace ours. Keep being you!
These are Michelin Defenders and we put them on about 40k miles ago. They are holding tread MUCH better than my last ones, so I’m pretty happy with them.
Right?! We were a little nervous with all the changes, but it was all good. I like that they do the app, so if something ever came up, I have digital proof that my stuff is good. I guess it could do the opposite too. Haha! Thanks for watching!
yay! off-road.. most hikes ive went to find requires some dirt to drive and park on, and ive even brought my car on roads that should be 4x4 only. but its all part of the adventure.. lol
Cody and Angela this video was great my wife and two sons loved it. We are already setting down planning a trip out west for next year. We have already made our plans this year for the summer. Our youngest son just graduated from high school, And him and his older brother wanted to go to the Smokey mountains for two weeks. Then we are heading north to Ohio to visit family for a week. But watching this video almost made us change our plans. Y’all are so good together when we watch y’all it gives us things to think about. We still watch your friends on there channel PNP and enjoy there videos too. But we love our RV family’s so thank y’all and stay safe on the road.
That's so nice, thank you! We enjoyed the Smokey Mountains, but we were unprepared for how commercialized it was. That, paired with the construction and already stuffy traffic, just left us with a sour taste. It IS worth a visit though. Just be better prepared than we were and start your days early. We are pretty sure that we will do a Western trip next year as well. We are just trying to determine if we want to go early, or later in the year. We have some research to do! :) Thanks for watching!
Heading to Deadwood over the 4th of July to go Jeeping with friends. Love the scenery. We normally go to Colorado and decided to change it up this year.
The road split off another way at one point, so maybe. But I can’t see how the cars made it even down the last section. I suspect they may have been as surprised as we were.
@@RVUntethered That is surprising! Grand Design advertises it at 2,076 which I understand is bone dry and empty, but I would not have thought it would be over 3k. Thank you.
Oh wow! They are pretty pricey in comparison. We have just had such good luck with almost all of them (in regards to expectations upon arrival), that it is an easy go-to, when needed, for us.
Just banana and coconut flakes. I believe the original recipe was 1 banana to 1/2c of coconut flakes. Bake 350 for 20-25 min. We have been snacking on these for about a year, when we need a sweet fix and the mixture doesn’t have to be exact, nor does the bake time. Cook them to your liking. Also you can drizzle chocolate, per the recipe, but it doesn’t need it.
What do you do for moisture protection when using your Dog Bone? (When it rains, I worry about water getting into the connection between my surge protector and the dog bone connection!) Thanks for sharing!
Honestly I don’t do anything here. Typically the power pedestal lid (assuming there is one) will give it some shelter. I make sure there’s a good tight connection and that none of the connection points are in standing water or have potential to be.
Cookies! You can drizzle chocolate on them if you’d like, but they don’t need it. Or bake them to crunch, but we often eat them soft. There are recipes listed as “3 ingredient samoas” with measurements. We don’t measure and it has always turned out for a sweet fix! 😉
Typically around 15 gallons. Any water weight seems to make the trailer pull better. We do more when boondocking but I avoid driving with a full tank whenever possible.
You know the gos has taken on a remote trail when it is only 48" wide and ATVer are looking at you like you have kost your mind .. and waving fists at you...
