Such a realistic week. We have ups and downs on this journey. Thank you for sharing your great meal ideas and your week. I tend to overdo as well. You are so right about this flesh!

Great video. My Nutritionist advised me to increase my fiber and protein so that I will feel full longer. Maybe if you do the same it will prisms of the snacking.

I've never done keto or anything like that & literally laughed at a friend while having lunch out. There she sat w/ a burger + bacon +cheese, nothing else. No toppings, no fries, no BUN. Yet there I sat, w/ what I now know to be all the bad things SHE should've been laughing at me + how ridiculous I was being. That we've all been fooled for years about our "foods"... for profit & to keep us addicted to them, sick & needing medicine just to maintain & live, etc. Only now able to see through that fog of craziness, looking back I've learned to judge no one, no matter. She said I could tell her just how wrong she was & that she'd sit there & listen IF I did it for just 30 days to prove her wrong. How "dangerous" (again, what we've been manipulated to believe for all of our lives.. that's actually incorrect) eating meat was. Fats.. real foods, not ultra processed, etc. WELL, the fool is me, not her & I can admit that now. Frankly, I could have lived (& sometimes did) on tacos or pizza. A carb addict, per se. Well, sugar too. I never ate a LOT, but it was all the wrong/bad things. What, more of... only caused me to crave even more! Plus, 26 yrs T2Diabetes that, even on the highest doses of 3 different meds at same time.. well, let's just say my fasting blood sugar was nearly 4x what it should be, on the regular. :( FFW> 30 days, of which.. honestly, the first 72 hrs showed me just how much toxic crap is being put into our 'foods'. Withdrawal wasn't even the word. Upset stomach, nauseous, no energy, sweaty, almost flu-like (I guess after research, it's what's known as 'keto flu', esp if you came from eating a lot of carbs/sugar & jumped right in like I did) 30 days... Beef, butter, bacon, eggs. All I wanted, whenever I wanted. 1cup of coffee per day in the morning & ice water the rest of the time. Redmond's real salt on everything (for electrolytes) & bam... Here we are over what's now turned into over 9 months & wow. Again, I was the fool. After a week, those cravings for anything sweet or processed, went away somehow. My taste buds changed big time. Things I never knew & couldn't even imagine... sleep, phew.. like I haven't ever had better. Skin, inflammation, pains.. all greatly improved if not gone. Stomach/digestion... zero issues or sensitivities anymore. Lost over 30 lbs & have NEVER EVER felt better physically & esp mentally. Best of all tho, now UNMEDICATED.. my fasting blood sugar hovers around 84. Numbers I've never seen before this, tbh. My bloodwork, cholesterol, blood pressure, mineral levels.. all within normal limits now. Sounds nuts, I KNOW better than anyone.... All I'll say is 30.. days! Get through the first 3 days & you're golden!!!!!!! I had a bag of super crispy prepared bacon on my counter at ALL times + another bag w/ slices of cheddar cheese (carb free, as is colby-jack) broken into 4 pcs & baked on parchment paper in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 min until 'lacey' looking. Allow to cool & you have super crispy cheese-it type crackers. Those were life-savers during the first week or 2. I only use/make those now-a-days with whole slices of cheese once in a while, instead of pieces. Once baked I allow to cool draped over the handle of a mixing spoon. Makes a perfect, crunchy taco shell. :) I also now make 'pizza' out of chicken + egg + cheese for the crust, baked... then top w/ bacon & a homemade alfredo type sauce. Hits the spot & stays within the meat/animal/whole food category. :) (sorry for the rambling novel, just wanted to share in case interested. I only wish I would've done this sooner... way sooner!!!! Just turned 52 & I've never felt better! Realized only by doing it & proving through bloodwork & results, etc.. just how upside down that food pyramid actually is + how corrupt food industry is, at our expense.. for profit!!!! This way of eating is much cheaper too, when not buying all the processed stuff)

Thank you so much for this, and yes, I read the whole thing. I'm in my 60's and old habits are hard to break, plus the triggers. I've never been on drugs, never been a habitual smoker, just the junk food addiction and it is as difficult as any addiction out there. But by the grace of God, I can and will overcome this addiction! Thank you for sharing your story and your victory! I am determined to be victorious as well. I am going to make the cheese "crisps" and give it a try, along with having some other low carb snacks, readily available. Blessings!
