tip: if you select the armature first, then the mesh and you go on weight paint mode, you can press ctrl + shift + click on a certain bone to go to that specific bone's weight

When i go to weight paint i never see any colour anywhere even when i select the bones from the Data Tab

weight painting is the only way to skin characters in blender, the built in methods of generating weight paints are that great. External addons that are paid may have better systems

Heres my thing, i had to spend most of the video to see what wer you selecting to apply weight. got to 2 :51 and im gonna try and find a better video. Cuz im completely lost. I dont know what stuff does at all. No help from this vid bro

I still don't know what option applies weight. What takes away. What smoothes stuff out so on. I tried documentation. However, I've always sucked at learning from text
