Thanks for all your vids, I've only been reborning for a few months, I couldn't bring myself to part with my first one and then I made a set of twins that I fell in love with:) So I just finished my 4th and have her up for sale....this vid was a great help as I put the neck ring on upside down...ooops:) but now she is assembled correctly.
@siberianlv - A step by step tutorial is a little hard to do at the moment but we do have many tutorials that take you through the technique I use. We have also produced DVD tutorials that are available on our website. The basics of reborning: 1) wash kit 2)neutralize vinyl colour if needed 3)apply flesh 08 coat/s 4) apply veining 5) another flesh 08 coat 6) apply mottling 7) another flesh 08 coat apply eyebrows and paint lips. Then seal the doll with a matte varnish.
@ilovemylongnails1 sand... clean sand. Sandbox sand from the home improvement store, or beach sand, or sand from a clean sand deposit. Make sure theres no soil - no leaves, twigs, etc, and not gravelly sand. Also, you will probably need to sew a sack with tight-weave material so the sand grains dont seep out. Most sand is silica - and thats exactly what glass is made of - melted silica. You can also check pet shops for small gravel, and sand (they use it for land crab terrariums).

I dont use stockings when i did mine cuz there was always a problum of it being unweighted best way to do it is put a layer of beads then a thin layer of poli fill then so on
Hello Nikki, I love how you do your reborn baby dolls. I'm saving up to buy a starter kit, (I would buy from you but I live in england :( ) If I get a kit, and I dont have some of the same props, would it be better to buy a dvd from the artist that created my sculpt? Thanks Gracie x
Kathleen Anderson you do not need neck rings and plugs if u use cable ties or the strings attached to some bodies and usually on bountiful baby and some sites similar the Bodie will say the abound of inches the body I’d mention for e.g (18’’-20’’ bodies are meant for 18’’-20’’ doll kits) I know it’s late but I hope that made sense

My reborn doll's body got dirty in the process of moving and he stinks, what would I have to do to wash it and reattach the ties? If I have to buy new ties how do I attach them to the body?

I was wondering if you have the kit that you were going to do for me I deleted the email with the picture, I wanted to get the kit to do a girl from the kit :o)
You might see if like a feeding tube can be placed from the mouth and down to the exit of what sexed baby you choose, centered while the silicone is slowly poured. I have not worked with silicone before, but those who have might have ideas on how.
