Orbit is free-fall. The ISS is actually subject to about 0.9 G, compared to the 1G we feel down here at sea level. But since they are moving horizontally at ~17500 mph, they are essentially falling towards Earth, but missing.

You see, the problem is that you are simply uneducated on how orbits work. It doesn't matter how much gravity there is - and you are correct that the magnitude in low earth orbit is about 90% of what it is on the surface. The REASON you know this is because "they" say it is. "They" don't make any attempts to conceal this. It just is. It's not some secret locked in a vault. It's simple physics that anyone with sufficient education can calculate. If - however - you are freely falling - which is the case in any orbit - the apparent gravity becomes zero. It doesn't matter that it's 90% of the surface gravity because you are in free fall, and in free fall, all objects become weightless. This isn't some super duper secret. It's just physics. Objects in free fall have no apparent gravity acting on them and will behave identically to objects which have no gravity acting on them. This is the case in orbit, so the fact that objects in orbit are under the influence of 90% the gravity that objects at the surface are under is patently irrelevant - because objects in orbit are in free fall. The end. Argument debunked. Nobody is lying.
