the Moldovan lad was born to be a little portly coach in a polo shirt and unfortunately he just has to go through the motions of actually training and competing in weightlifting until he can get there
Oh you didn't know? My friend's half-sister's father's older brother's girlfriend's former room mate's son was Karchenko's masseur at the competition, and said he had been dealing with a stomach bug.
I'd love for you to do some commentary for the 2021 Chinese Nationals. Any weightclass would do. 96 kg for example had some real characters - this one guy had the narrowest stance I've ever seen. His feet were almost touching!
Yes please! It’s a great comp As well. Jaber al Saleem and victors scerbatiths. This would be a great commentary and the filming was very good at This one
2011 105 worlds! such a classic class, and great singlet variety. Keep up the good work lads, I feel like I come back to these videos every time I need a laugh.
I was there as a spectator. Førde is actually known as the ugliest city in Norway. Not even in a joking way. The city planning is not great. And Frydenbø is a car dealership.
Imagine someone dialing in to watch weightlifting for the first time and all you see is man after man failing to lift the barbell. You think to yourself "this must be the stupidest sport ever, they can't perform a single execution in their sport". But then comes Gabriel and they ask "when was the point where the barbell moved from the ground to top of the guy's head, I didn't see it". These romanian lifters look really sharp in their lifting. I dig the style of Sheiko "I would not let the lifter attempt a weight he wasn't sure he can make". At least that gets you halfway the ranks because you get a score unlike all the bombers. I also have no doubts why Clarence Kennedy hired Gabriel to fix his lacking C&J. The man is like a machine on his clean and jerk. It's lovely to see someone so proficient in technique. When he makes it, it's not a question if he was about to make it, it's just clean performance.
Any chance of 2005 worlds Doha 105+. Features Rezazzadeh, Chigashev, Jaber Salem. In what appears to be the hotel used for the Qatar cup. Underrated session.
Hannequin has not been see since 2016. Since he is about 35 y/o I doubt he is even training for competition if at all. His best result was Silver overall at the 2011 World Championships. The Polish lifter Swarycz is gone and has not been seen for years. He was getting worse each year and now is well over 30 y/o anyway. Sincrain was a great technician and it is a pity that he was caught with PED's and lost his Olympic Bronze medal. Most these lifters were filling the pressure to qualify for Rio 2016 and started too high. It is mostly the fault of the coaches and not managing their athletes well.
if only that last lifter squat jerked instead, he could've won this competition (less bar height needed in squat jerk) and maybe done some good things in his career.
