This is amazing Meme List of weightlifting, Rostami 2 time world champion/2 time olympic medalist-SUS. Jared Fleming Tearing ACL at 2015 Worlds- B group.
I want to see a mix of all different strength athletes and content creators. I want Eddie Hall, Ilya Ilyin, Joel Seedman, Ronnie Coleman, and Mark Bell all on the same list.
I mean being fair on Henry, he was one of the best powerlifters and strongman ever, and I know this is a raking of "weightlifting accomplishments" but also consider that Marc picked up weightlifting and in less than 2 years of training made it to the Olympics. I'm not sure if I've ever heard of another Oly lifter who made it to that level in under 2 years...
I seen on a klokov documentary interviewing akkaev's coach saying he lifted 210kg/245kg weighing 107kg in training the coach wanted/offered him to go to 105kg+ weighing 115kg/120kg would have been interesting
As someone who’s either training in the gym or nerding out on the Vs Battle wiki, this tickles pretty much all the positive brain receptors. Thanks guys 👍🏼
It's like the cool wall from Top Gear UK. It's not about how fast the cars are, or how economical or efficient they are, or even if they're practical. It's all about the cool factor.
Man I loved that era of Top Gear, the cool wall was great. The latter era got so bloated and over the top, I miss when they just talked shit on each others idea of cool cars.
I’m new to weightlifting, so I’m not very knowledgeable about the past or present stars of the sport, but watching these two nerd out in this way is so entertaining. I think through the goofiness and jokes, the passion and love for the sport can be felt.
It would be fun if you did an all time top 10 in each weight class. A lot of newer lifters don't know the all time greats. Anatoly Khrapaty did 181+222.5 as a 82.5 lifter. Alexander Pervy cleaned 225 as a 82.5. I met Varbanov in Toronto in 2014 at the Pan Am Masters. He told me he c&j 222.5 at 75k in training. He was a few kilo's over. I did see the video. There were so many great lifters it would be nice to share their fantastic achievements
Some Sus tier lifters - Daniel Godelli. Put 40kg+ on his total in a year, beat Lu, immediately got banned. Missed 2 snatches at 2021 Euros and walked out of the venue. He has not posted a total in about 50% of his competitions in the past decade. Also that one video of him muscle/power snatching in jeans and street shoes while smoking a cigarette. He is GOAT Sus. His countryman Hysen Pulaku. Medalling nationally in under 16s competitions when he was 9. Trained with Abadjiev, did huge sketchy lifts while looking scrawny af, got popped for Stan twice. He was like a Bulgarian-era sus revival in the modern era. Ivan Stoitsov, the first 'internet darling' weightlifter I knew of for being aesthetic af. Got banned, grew twice as much muscle, mostly in his traps and snatched 180. Came back and was on start lists for years but never actually competed again. And his girlfriend Boyanka Kostova. Both jumped countries from Bulgaria to Azerbaijan. She was a good weightlifter, then got way virilised and smashed easy world records with no technique. Squatted 200 at ~60, way above most IPF records. Banned twice. GOAT Sus. Vasiliy Polovnikov. Was 85 and got banned, gained up to 105. Regularly snatched around 200 and squatted 300+ and did huge deadlifts like 360+ as a non competitive lifter coaching in USA. Probably the strongest ever muscle snatcher that isn't Lasha. Mad sus. Salimi. Elbows always sus. Clarence. Jacked tricking vegan squat wizard with world record level lifts and not competing. Total sus.
Hmmmmmm gonna need pyrros dimas, naim, and Charles rigolout in the future cz they are the biggest GOATs and I'm curious where you would put those three against each other.🤔🤔🤔
Surely sus tier. He's a wizard, he doesn't compete, he does tricking stuff, he's a vegan, and has world record level lifts. Absolutely top of sus tier.
@@WeightliftingHouse True, but does Sinclair take into account other aspects of greatness like concistency and dominace? Deng Wei was undefeated from 2010 to 2019 (with the exception of the Asian's games of 2014). In the worlds of 2019 with 261kg total she would have won gold in 71Kg, bronze in 76 Kg, gold in 81Kg and bronze in 87 Kg !! Trully astounding! It was such a shame she was not selected to defend her olympic gold of Rio, in Tokyo.
@@Savvas28 No it doesn't take any of that into account. I was just responding to your comment about being the best pound for pound, which is another way of saying Sinclair.
@@WeightliftingHouse you can stick mine straight in Sus for being in the second heaviest weight class and being outlifted by children in the lightest weight class!
