I,m a HW springer guy but the HW100 is a Superb rifle. Great stock with good hold for free hand shooting. Way better than that all the tactical stuff on the market. I had to make a choice between the HW100 and an AirArms S410. I went for the S410 walnut because of the more classic look and the superb finish. The S410 is also very accurate but to shoot a PCP is in my opinion still very boring. I use it only for some pest control situations where quick following shots are needed. Great Review 👍
I’m on my fourth Weihrauch’s hw 100 Kt, I’ve had other makes in between but always gone back to the 100kT. They just work and are proven, I opted for 177 this time round with the most wonderful grained walnut stock and I wish I’d switched calibre years ago, hits the mark every time and if I had a pound for every rat I’d shot over the years with them I’d be having a dam good holiday/cruise possibly. Some whine on about the shot count but there’s never been a session where I’ve run out of air on vermin and as they say if you can carry say 60 rabbits home your a better man than me. The ones I’ve had have never really been pellet fussy and I’ve settled on Hades which the gun loves. From my experience with them I can definitely recommend one to anyone and paired up with a day/night scope such as the Sightmark wraith 2-16x28 it’s a great combination for some nighttime fun.
The venerable HW100 is an excellent rifle in all ways. A design that has stood the test of time. I use mine for HFT and have made so many updates to it. She shoots like a laser.
@@tvm-reviews CZ Aeron stock, Ratworks air cylinder Rowan trigger and Rowan Stripper cone. Floated barrel and Power adjuster. It's took some time to get it right but its spot on now!
Great video buddy,I will be getting the hw100 to add to my hw110,and I also own a crown mk2 with the atn x sight 4K pro scope 👍😎my love for the hobby has returned after not shooting for a few years
Very good review you did there.. As for the air leak / problem, you do have to tighten the tube quite a lot.. You can't over tighten as it can only go so far, apart from that, it's a common thing for the 0 ring that seats in the air tube to perish and cause it to purge air. It's an easy fix, done mine in ten mins... Pays to rub a little silicone grease on the 0 ring prior to putting it on..
Do you happen to have a video showing the o ring replacement? Mines out of commission due to an air leak somewhere and I haven't had time to dicker with it. Thanks!
I've watched many reviews on the HW100KT, including yours thank you, after laying off airgun shooting for many years I therefore decided to buy one complete with 3-18x50 glass, and wow I was not disappointed, OK took me a 1000 odd shots and testing many different pellets in .177 before I found the right combo but it all came back to me, playing in the garden at 16M I'm getting regular 14 shot 6 to 7mm groupings, shame I can't upload my targets to prove it's not BS, I really can't fault the rifle and my only gripe would be having to recharge it after 4 mags but I can live with that, off to try out the 50M range tomorrow, I'll update you on the results, Thanks again, Regards, Steve.
@@tvm-reviews Hi Tyler, your welcome mate, was reasonably happy with the 50M today, most of my x14 shot groupings were between 25-30mm with my best at 20mm, these were all with the Exact Heavy Diabolo 10.34gr .177, next time i'll try some other of my vast stock of different pellets to see if they behave better at 50M, Regards, Steve.
Excellent review, I’m just considering pulling the trigger on one of these, what’s holding me back is the price point, and how to justify such a large outlay as a non competitive shooter, but the enthusiasm you have for it has definitely pushed me a little closer to throwing some cash at one, great video. All the best, Steve
@@westhighlandtraditionalarcher thanks Steve. Yeah it’s ace! I still stand by the shot count but it’s a great rifle. Probably even better in .177. Let us know if you push the button
I came back to re watch this after watching your Reximex review. You can't hide your enthusiasm for the HW100 or hide your disappointment in the Reximex. Probably not that good a poker player, LOL If ever a comparison screamed, "Save your money, buy quality." than this is it.
Ha ! I've just bought one of these (i also have a pretensis) It is a fantastic rifle and by far the most accurate rifle i have owned - i bought mine in .20 caliber because i wanted something different, yes i know there is less choice of ammo in .20 but the rifle is not pellet fussy and there are at least 6 potions in pellets from Wolfman, 2 by JSB alone. No regrets, flatter trajectory that the .22 but heavier that .177😀
Ive seen some of your videos and it seems your relatively knew to air guns ...id suggest ditching these big green targets or splatter targets theybdont provide an accurate group... Try the bisley ones with one big target on the front and 5 smaller ones on the back theyre really good for group testing... Would also add the trigger blade isnt metal to my knowlege the guard is metal however but brilliant rifles i have a 100T in 177 hits anything i point it at
I brought the limited edition one last month and I think it’s the worst gun ever? I shot it once and it broke. It’s been in the shop for over one month now and I still not had a phone call about it and it’s a brand new limited addition HW 100 KT. And like you said yourself, 20 shots and it’s empty rubbish.
I world have expected this level of accuracy given the small range and purchase price😮 Well one things for sure the barrel is not pellet fussy, I can well understand why i changed up to .22lr rimfire, I part exchanged my Thioben .22 fac at 26foot pounds to a Anchutz. 22lr which as more range + More power, Deadly Quiet using subsonic hollow points, But the biggest difference is the cost!! Even today a quality secondhand rimfire is less than a quarter of the price of this example? Lighter more consistent shot on shot, Never let me down after 20years!!!
FAC air rifles have never made much sense in the UK, but are you seriously suggesting people go and get a .22 rimfire instead of a sub 12 fpe air rifle? For most people in the UK that is a not an option. You will have far more opportunities to shoot with an air rifle be it back garden plinking, field target, HFT, pest control or 6 yard / 10m target than a .22lr. And why compare the cost of a second hand rimfire to a brand new air rifle? Centrefires can cost about the same as a rimfire but have considerably more range and power so does that make rimfires poor value?
@@tvm-reviewshahaha have a day off I sub 12...20-50m is best distance anything else is pointless and for real rifles or fac... btw I'm sure the trigger is plastic with a metal trigger guard though
@@tvm-reviewsyeah deffinetly and if you go to the majority of indoor ranges they're 20-30m only the large outside ones are further and let's be honnesy no one with a sub 12ft lbs .22 is hitting consistent groups 50 yards pluss no matter how much absolute nonsense they talk
