Before then, you had Roman invasion, before that Greek invasion, before that Assyrian, before that Hyksos. The commonality? They were invaders.

@@thefinancialanalyst31 Well, Hyksos were expelled from Egypt later so they didn’t have any impact on the population. Greeks , Romans, Arabs or Turks NEVER settled in mass in Egypt. Not one single evidence supports your claim. And btw, southern Egyptians and other egyptians show they are genetically related. In North west India you had Persians , Greeks, Arabs, Turko afghans, Mughals and finally british. They were all invaders. Yet the overwhelming majority of modern day people in North west India ( modern day Pakistan) remained almost intact. And btw, Arabic is Speke in Sudan too . @@st3019 Arabs never settled en masse in Egypt? Are you kidding? They spread all throughout North Africa during the Islamic invasion. Also, I live in the United States of America. This land was filled with indigenous people until invaders wiped them out and replaced them. So yes, conquest can change the demography of a region.

Remember that the native population in what is today USA and Canada far smaller than in North Africa. Native American tribes scattered throughout the region. Yes many of native Americans were killed but remember they were overwhelmed by millions of Europeans in 18-19-20th centuries. Arabs NEVER settled in masse in North Africa they occupied the ruling elite. If you don’t understand islam as a religion than is hard for you to understand the arabization of Egypt. Sudan was conquered for much shorter period and they were Arabized too. Again, remember that North Africa had always been heavily populated even Berbers in desert have always been there .And Egypt was the most populated country in North Africa since prehistoric times. That belong to North Africans and Middle Eastern people who are racially closer to other west Eurasians . They were part of Mediterranean civilizations and societies.
