I love Al’s parody’s but never heard him sing seriously. He is amazing.

I kinda wish Al would do more "serious" performances, just so more people would realize how talented he really is.

This has got to be one of the GREATEST cover versions of this George Harrison classic! 'Weird Al' RIPPED IT!

Clicked on it out of curiosity, amazed by how good it is.

I think George would like this interpretation.

When he's not jumping around, you can see how he really concentrates, even closing his eyes a lot. He's really trying NOT to make a joke of this, and do it justice. And he succeeds. This is a really excellent cover of this song, probably as good as any live performance I've seen of Harrison singing it himself.

Weird Al truly is the best! Not only does he passionately and respectably perform such a great George Harrison classic, he also injects a little comedy by taking a selfie with the crowd during the performance! Not enough words to describe how much love and respect I have for Weird Al!

There is only one certainity in this mad world: Weird Al Yankovic is awesome.

Weird Al has a good voice, but he makes up for it in enthusiasm, respect and reverence. He’s not calling attention to himself in this performance, rather expressing his happiness at the opportunity to do it. I think his parodies work so well because they always seem to be done with a sense of respect for the art. Even his “Smells Like Teen Spirit” is so well done that it makes a person respect the original song/video even more. That’s my take anyway.

I love to watch him dance with reckless abandon; he looks like he's made of rubber bands. He is his own person without apology. What a concept!!

Al is classic. I love his funny songs and this is mad respect for George.

People tend to forget...the man's got a *voice.* He could totally be a normal singer if he wanted to which....I'm betting no one really wants that...this world needs Weird Al.

This is not an easy song to sing especially the high notes. Al has just the right range for this and does a superb job.

Anyone who is undecided if Al belongs in the Rock ‘n Roll hall of fame should watch this. Al being a straight up amazing Rock Star front man.

Weird Al sings George Harrison!!! And NAILS it!!! For those of you who are surprised, don't be; Weird Al is an EXCEPTIONAL musician! To do what he does, he HAS to be a VERY skilled musician (same here); he makes his parodies look easy! They're not. It's not just a matter of writing clever parodies; the performance has to be just as good as the originals! That takes a very high degree of talent and musicianship! Notice that there's very few people - if any - who can even approach Weird Al's level of musicianship for song parodies! Weird Al is the real thing!!! 👍👍👍

I'm sure the organizers of this George Harrison tribute event were blown away. I doubt if the musicians who played with him on this song were prepared for such a superb rendition of Harrison's song. The wonderful 77 cover songs he and his band performed on his 2018 tour prove their incredible versatility and showcase the talent his fans have enjoyed for decades.

One thing I love about this performance is that even though it sounds very similar to the original song, the meaning feels different. The original song feels like a love song directed at a romantic partner, or as has sometimes been interpreted, to a higher power. But the way Al performs this, it feels like a love song directed at his audience specifically. What is his life without the love of his fans? We can see he’s more than just a comedian or a rockstar, he’s really baring his soul on the stage. His soul just happens to be a bit silly.

Less than half of the songs on AL's 14 studio albums are parodies. AL is an incredible songwriter. He alsk writes songs for movies, tv and commercials. I went to 4 of his originals only tours. Only played his original songs and the crowds went nuts. He's amazing!!!

Genius. Pure genius. What's not to love here?

Wow. At the 2:07 mark the sax player leans to his left so Weird Al has a clean view of the killer backing vocals he wants to recognize. Amazing band members making sure all get the props they deserve.

I would love it if Al did a non-parody album of just cover versions of songs, and call it "Playing It Straight."

I’ve always said that Weird Al is a great singer. The fact that he has parodied such a wide range of different artists, and yet somehow he always manages to sound like every artist he parodies.

George Harrison has his piece of history and it keeps getting bigger. 53 years now since this song came out. Most performers are forgotten in 10 or less.

How many people out there know that George and Al were lifelong friends after they met? Along with Eric Idle from Monty Python. There were 4 non family members invited to George's private funeral; Al, Eric, Ringo, and Paul Paul was the only one who didn't show (he was in the hospital with pneumonia).

I'm glad he played this straight without funny lyrics. Speaks to the respect he must have for Mr Harrison. Good job 👏 👍 👌. And those dance moves 👏 pure Fred Astaire. 👌

Weird Al is a Tiny Tim reincarnate. He is amazingly talented. This is, by far, his greatest cover. The band was fantastic. I only wish they would have put lighting on the backup vocalists. I can barely see them behind the brass section. But, I couldn't help waiting for him to add his funny lyrics. I'm so glad he didn't. This is not so much a cover as it is a wonderful tribute to GH.

This is a really good cover that he's done of the George Harrison song. Just goes to show that he doesn't have to take the piss out of other people's songs to get audiences going, and it's good to see that unlike a lot of other parody artists who have come and gone over the decades he has had staying power. I nearly puked at hearing the voice of Ron DeeSantis in the commercial. Took a minute to recover. That's one of my all-time favorite songs and Al nailed it - complete with gnomes! He always has a great band.

I think all those people who thought the world would end in 2012 were right and we're living in some sort of heavily distorted alternate universe. The Cubs won a World Series, a reality show carny became president, and Weird Al Yankovic did one of the best George Harrison covers I've ever seen.
