Wild animals being kept in captivity is usually considered abusive. Unless you're a large, very well funded zoo... and even then plenty of animal activists still see them as prisons. Humanizing a wild animal and keeping it indoors is for sure, totally abuse. If you see them wearing clothes or just ONE monkey from a species that is traditionally social: it's definitely suffering. Orangutans are solitary so idk it might be fine with this, but it would probably prefer to be in it's own territory up in the trees and left alone.
@@orangutanenthusiast orangutans are easily my favorite primate. Cheek flange and all. It gives personality to the monkey. It can make them seem either very wise, or like a big ol fatcat monkey, who hoards all the coconuts or somethin, lol
