Billy Mays was a gem, and was a local legend here in Tampa. His son, Billy III, is an ambient musician who releases music under the name Infinite Third!
When I was little I thought chia was said like "cheetah" I went home one night and told my mom that me and my friend sprayed water all over his cheetah.....I couldn't go there for 6 months
As a mexican, of course I grew up on the other side, next to USA, I never saw any of these commercials, so it is really nice to have a look at what kind of commercial-wise content was always shown and advertised back then when I had other sort of commercials around here on Tacoland, so yep, I'm loving these videos, keep it up Conner!, I'm looking forward for the next part!
Nobody in my Middle School Ever Said Shit Like”Lint Licker”,we Just Straight up Cussed,I Learned to Cuss my 1st Semester of 7th Grade From All of The Teachers,&,Other Students Now Those Were The Days
Ah Billy Mays. Such an iconic part of the 00s that the 00s decided to take him with them (2009 was such a weird year when it came to how many celebrities died that one year alone, hell South Park did a whole episode about it).
We need commercials to be more like weird and funny 90's commercials and weird and funny Japanese commercials combined, that way people will be more likely to buy it.
If anybody ever doubts how great Billy Mays was, bear in mind that he became an icon by staring in commercials. You know, that thing that everybody hates. He did those, and become as recognizable as many film actors. If that's not a testament to greatness, I don't know what is.
I Used to Get Wonderballs Whenever I Possibly Could Way Back in The Mid-Late 90s,&,Early 2000s Then I Got 1 Again When They Were Brought Back Like 1-2 Years Ago,They Were Bigger,&,Way More Awesome When I Was a Kid
I love your channel, and I'm probably the only person to comment this in a long time but that fabulous earthbound intro- WOW! Thank you for creating so much enjoyable content, I truly cannot tell you how thankful I am with the amazing videos you post.
The weird pop-tarts ads are actually based on the animations of Don Hertzfeldt. If you want some trippy and occassionally creepy animation to watch you should check out his stuff. His stuff is basically the pop-tarts ads on LSD.
When I saw thant Zoo pals plate my hart just lit up and I remember all those times I used them and how I would just run around like the dumb kid I was and I loved it. So many good feelings I remember what it is to have pure child like wonder
Billy Mays was on a lot of commercials and was so loved that he was shown on an episode of South Park. The one where it was showing all the celebrities that died that year. Michael Jackson also appeared in that episode.
God these ads are making me remember when I was just sitting on the couch watching CN or at my grandparents house and these ads would just pop up randomly. Those were the good days...
When I saw the thumbnail with that pop tart I immediately remembered those commercials they were really weird to me but hey that's the reason why they're on this video, and I recognized some of the other ones Chia pets? Now I remember always making fun of those
I always want to see the Pop Tarts eat people. In fact, they should definitely reboot the animated Pop Tarts commercials. But the status quo should change. Not only the Pop Tart traps people set up should backfire against them, but also at the end of the commercial, the people always end up being eaten by the sentient Pop Tarts that they tried to lure in.
"Nothing like green mustard to set the mood." Actually that's green ketchup. It was a short-lived fad involving adding _a lot_ of dark green dye to red ketchup and it stained something fierce. It also tasted slightly worse than red ketchup. A structured settlement is usually something like winning a court case and being entitled to a payment, but either because it'd be inconvenient to pay a single large lump or because the court doesn't trust you to be financially responsible, the settlement is structured to pay you smaller amounts at regular intervals over a long period of time. J. G. Wentworth's business model is to purchase one of those settlements so his company gets the large overall payout due to their patience while the customer gets comparatively smaller overall money because they demand it in one big lump sum. "I need cash now!" usually not being for any actual acute monetary needs, just being impatient and having irresponsible spending habits; this type of business literally exists to prey on fiscal irresponsibility and short sightedness.
I recognized more commercials than last time, even if almost all of them I've only previously seen in YTPs. Ones I've seen legit: Billy Mays' Mighty Putty Ones I've only seen on RU-vid, be it YTP or otherwise: That "Mesothelioma" thing, everything else you shown that was Billy Mays related, HeadOn, Shrek EZ Squirt, Family Guy ringtones, ChiaPet, and Zoo Pals 8:11 And there it is _again!_ Ever since I recently got infatuated with Doki Doki Literature Club (by means of a video by Tech Rules, and a comment left on the game's trailer that acknowledged that the game is free), it's been more-than-usual chasing me almost everywhere I go here, like a quarter between the cushion seats; I didn't expect to see it there and I never asked for it, but the sight of it still makes me happy.
I legit grew up with these commercials while they aired during cartoon breaks lol such good and simple times lol being an adult sucks, besides buying whatever you want haha
My favorite commercial as a kid was the one with a golden retriever singing: 🎶"They're ain't on bugs on me, They're ain't no bugs on me. There may be bugs on some other pugs🎶 (or mugs can't remember what he says) 🎶but there ain't no bugs on me"🎶 I still sing it to this day at random times 🤷🏾♂️😂
Last Tuesday was the 1 *year* anniversary of when you uploaded "WEIRD Commercials From My Childhood". 🤓 EDITS- 8:12 P.M.: *finishes video 11 minutes later* I'm a 23-year-old man living in 2021 and I don't know what a structured settlement is either! 😅 8:13 P.M.: I remember watching most of these commercials as a kid. Time goes by so fast! 😭
Me and my brother loved JG Wentworth ads so much that we would reenact all of them while we were out with my family. I wish he was like that still Also Red and Ned look like an early Cyanide & Happiness animation lmbo
It’s funny, I’m watching this as we speak, and when it got to the JG Wentworth commercial, a JG Wentworth commercial literally comes on my tv at the same time!
One of the ones I always thought was funny was Garnier Frutice, this shampoo brand that, for no apparent reason, used "Diamonds and Guns" by Transplants, a song from Bulletproof Monk. Why a shampoo commercial used a song about drugs and gang violence is beyond me. And they used the song for YEARS.
