Weird/Creepy Pokedex Entries - Part 7 

Pretty much all of Gyarados' dex entires state how violent it gets when it goes on a rampage, but, then I noticed this one from Sapphire and Alpha Sapphire: Once Gyarados goes on a rampage, its ferociously violent blood doesn't calm until it has burned everything down. There are records of this Pokémon's rampages lasting a whole month. So basically, a whole month of Gyarados destroying anything and everything. Combine that with the other dex entries that state it can destroy entire cites, and, I hope you have an Electric type on hand for the Gyarados apocalypse.

Aron has a funny pokedex entry in ruby ARON has a body of steel. With one all-out charge, this Pokemon can demolish even a heavy dump truck.The destroyed dump truck then becomes a handy meal for the Pokemon.

That Pokémon got banned from the Pokémon world because IT was the one that sent the x rays from the moon.

I guess Giratina forgot to clear their Google search history.

To be fair, Victini is canonically one-of-a-kind so the chances of two fighting each other is officially impossible

Giratina's dex entry is just... sad. "It gazes upon the old world from the Distortion World." Poor thing must be so lonely...

So, I have to leave another comment here, as I just learned about Regice from another Pokétuber's video so I decided to look it up and.... From Sapphire and Alpha Sapphire: "Regice cloaks itself with frigid air of -328 degrees Fahrenheit. Things will freeze solid just by going near this Pokémon. Its icy body is so cold, it will not melt even if it is immersed in magma." So, 18,000 degrees or -328 degrees. Pick.

I posted about Regice's Pokédex entry states that its temperature is -328 a couple months ago. However, do you want to know what else is -328 Fahrenheit? The average temperature on Neptune. It's also colder than a winter on Mars, and, just under Pluto's temperature of -400 Fahrenheit. Jwittz, you gotta include Regice next time you do one of these :P

well with how mythology tends to go, Giratina was probably banished for being the first of the violent, rather than the worst among them.

The thing about Giratina isn't that it's just violent, but that's it's also too powerful... so powerful, that it's existence is a threat...

I saw the Giratina movie and it actually showed her(I always imagine Giratina as a girl because the feminine name and color scheme) as more of a wholesome Pokémon framed and trying to get out of it’s confinement, and I’m 88% sure that was from the fixed dub by the Pokémon Company and not the easily-offended 4Kids. Guess Arceus is expecting a lot more kindness on the things he directly made.

If you had a Lunala and a bunch of sludge, could you make an infinite amount of Grimer to shiny hunt since lunala is basically the moon mon?

I think Giratina started the war we keep hearing about-- you know, the one that Lt Surge fought in? The one we hear so much about in X/Y? Yeah, that war! Giratina could have started it, and then that caused his banishment. Look at the facts. We don't have a cause for the war, only how it ended. No other pokemon has anything so unspeakable as causing an entire war. And causing a war would DEFINATELY land you a spot in banishment!

you don't have to imagine what they mean by its violence it's quite obvious, it's the dark matter pokemon, that theoretically explodes when best matter, so the very act of Giritina existing caused random violent explosions

Does anyone find the term 'Old World' a little unsettling? That could mean the pokemon world, but then why not say 'The Pokémon World' or 'The Normal World'? Is it possible that this 'Old World' was destroyed by Giratina, and that's why it's banished? If so what could happen now that a trainer has caught it? What would have happened if Cyrus lost control of Giratina in Pokémon Platinum? Is it possible that the Pokémon World we know today could be destroyed if Giratina's trainer loses control of it? There's some food for thought.

6:45 I feel like it has to do with the distortion world supposedly being antimatter so Giratina is literally setting off explosions more powerful than your average nuclear bomb just by existing in the normal world

The best explanation for all of these is that they've all been written by 10-year olds. That's what happens when you send kids to gather data: one thinks magikarp is useless while the other wants to emphasize their favorite fish pokemon's ability to jump high.

I mean maybe Sun takes place in the future after that entry was made, and now here in the future maybe the newer games just have regions where people specifically train Rydon to do these things?

I know this is years old, but the X-rays from the moon seems like a reference to 'light from mars through swamp gas' from Men in Black.

Maybe magikarp's muscles allow it to jump a mountain, it's just that it doesn't because maybe falling more than 7 feet hurts them too much. Like fall damage.

One thing about the dex entry for Giratina. It says 'the old world'. No 'it's old world'. Or, 'It's old home'. No. THE old world. possibly implying that the world we play in, is not the original. Not quite creepy, but with the lack of context of it's crime. I'm suprised a ten year old could tame it.

I mean, Giratina is one of our many Pokémon satan stand-ins, considering platinum is part of the Pokémon God/Arceus storyline generation, so poor Giratina's violence probably isn't that much worse than most legendary Pokémon chaos, but Arceus was like "idk man, I just, I don't like you specifically, and I know those guys over there were doing it to, but I just can't let you get away with it, I think I'm gonna put you in your own pocket dimension, so you can think about what you've done. It's for the best."
