I'm exactly this profile, I've been raised in a cult as a Jehovah's Witness and had to embrace Satanism for a while in order to cleanse myself from my limiting beliefs. It was extremely helpful. Funny thing is that only recently have I've been more comfortable to work with so-called RHP or "Light" entities like Angels and Archangels which I didn't want anything to do with before as you could understand. I'm happy to have left most denomination now, I don't call myself a satanist, I like the word Sorcerer and I grow everyday to expand my magic and my poetic relationship with life based on Love and Freedom.

I went through something similar, I was raised in a family that bounced around churches despite my mom claiming to be atheist and my beliefs always felt conflicting with my family and also the community, so I embraced Satanism to explore my spirituality. It wasn't until I called myself a Luciferian and I decided to read into some of the Gnostic and Sufi philosophy that I came to realize what my core beliefs really were. It took almost several years of soul searching and only recently have I been comfortable with myself. Not a Satanist anymore, will always consider myself a Luciferian

The goat iconography around Satan as a demonization of paganism and Pan makes so much sense. I would like to hear more about your impressions of Pan actually. Psychically, I see hes connected somehow to the tree of life. Sometimes he has quite a mischievous and seemingly dangerous aura. Not to be alarmist. I’m open to his light aspect as well. The irony is that the Iranian ayatollahs calling the USA "the Great Shaitan (Satan)" -- the Great Adversary -- is spot-on! BTW, your selection of little highlight clips is both accurate and highly entertaining... The Mithraic Bull is oft depicted as being stabbed in the Shoulder and with 7 stars above. The shoulder of Taurus in the night sky and the Pleiades.

Wow l'm a bit confused by getting so many of my ideas on the topic confirmed. Thanks especially for the link to that "gnostic fascism" article. As a veteran scolar on both "sketchy" black metal and the warhammer mythos, l was completely blown away by that discovery, guess l was not the only one connecting all the dots. But well that particular rabbit hole goes on even deeper and crazier once you get to full blown esotheric naziism. Too bad you can't really get ahold of their writings due to censorship but scratching just the surface that'd be one hell of a ride. Also the child sacrifice cults do exist, but they don't have any connection to satanism or anything esotheric at all, just evil rich people that do it simply because they can get away with it.

The relationship between Yahweh and Satan is quite clear. They are the same entity, and the Father of Lights is the alter ego of Satan. Christ is the alter ego of Lucifer. They had an agreement in the beginning, and the plan was to kill Christ so that the earth would belong to Yahweh/Satan. Alas, it was not Christ that died on the cross, it was the third party - Abraxas. Abraxas is the deity that is above all deities and he had two expressions, Jesus and Sophia, these are Adam and Eve. The demiurge trapped Abraxas and Sophia - Christ/lucifer caused them to eat from the Tree of Knowledge (Ignorance) and made sure that they would walk the earth oblivious to who they really are. Then they would divide the world in two, half goes with Yahweh and the other with Christ. They are actively doing what they can to divide the souls on earth, trapping all the good ones in Reversed Time, and all the evil ones with the Devil aspect here in our time. The Redeemer on the other hand, have other plans. He will reverse this distribution and cause all the good people to stay here on earth and all the evil people to go to reversed time. He will also protect all those that Christ/Lucifer will vomit out from his mouth, and those that do not align themselves with Yahweh/Satan. In the end, the Trismegistus will rise up and face the evil forces in this world, and the good forces in the mirror world, and he will speak the truth and a lie at the same time. In the end, Adam and Eve will take the throne of heaven and they will rule in peace, balance and harmony, the entire multiverse, and their children gets to explore the two multiverses as much as they like. Of course, they will need to build spacecrafts and more in order to make it a reality. Abraxas is BOTH SATAN and the FATHER, he is both all Good and all Evil, a balanced creature. He was misunderstood and betrayed, trapped on earth. Hades was the brother of Zeus and Poseidon, but in actuality he was their Father. Him and Persephone his Wife and Daughter, was trapped in the underworld, and when the Lord of heaven entered the underworld, he became the Lord of the underworld as well. He is about to wake up and is abiding his time before he will reveal himself. His Alter Ego is Sophia, the Father and Mother of the Demiurge. Christ and Lucifer is the Son/daughter of the Demiurge.

@@mikuspalmis Reversed Time follows the principle of CPT Symmetry in Physics. It is Opposite Charge, Inversed Parity and Reversed Time. Time goes backwards, or starts at the end and moves towards the beginning. An item that follows this principle behaves in the exact same way as an item that does not. Meaning you can make the changes, and the visual manifestation of that object is identical. So far, science have not yet found anything that violates CPT Symmetry. If taken to its furthest conclusion, there are Two Universes side by side, one that is the mirror of the other, they look identical and are occupying negative and positive spacetime. It is this world that we connect to, we exist in both and both make up the complete being. Our Alter Ego wants to be in our universe, and we want to be in their universe. When this change is made, then "Magic" is unlocked in both realities.

There was this idea i had and Jesus calling himself morningstar is yet another point to that. What if, the Lucifer, who was banished from heavens and sent to earth as punishment, is actually one and the same with human's soul. A perfect punishment for someone looking down on humans as mortals, to become their immortality, experience every single life of theirs, and learn to value it, all that while still, technically, loving only himself, for he is all of us. Any thoughts on that?

Im disappointed that you cant recognize that there are some people that get pleasure from the suffering of others. They do exist and represent the archetype of the shadow/Satan/ego/separation. They feed off the suffering like parasites stealing the inner light of others. The same as there are people who get pleasure from helping and loving others which is the archetypal energy of Jesus/spirit/oneness. This is the balance of opposites.

Another awesome video. So much of what your average person knows of Hell and it's denizens is directly from Paradise Lost and Dante's Inferno. And almost none of those people have read either. Despite the vast vast majority of most people having not read them both were so influential that they're like biblical fanfiction that got accepted as canon.

Great video as always! I like to refer to "the enemy". The fear, apathy, nihilism and unsound desires I run into on a daily bases are "his" ways of dragging me off the narrow road. The name of Lucifer seems to have more depth and duality, (its etymology means “the morning star” or “light-bringing”), indicating a being that was perhaps misunderstood rather than being wicked. By some, Lucifer is considered more of a liberator and guiding spirit, a representative of the Promethean archetype. Within the closing paragraph of the Latin versions of the Easter Proclamation (Exsultet), when denoting the light of the morning star, the title of Lucifer is a reference to Jesus Christ himself. The word Lucernarium, the service and ritual of lighting lamps, begins with the word “Lucer”, yet again symbolizes Christ.

Great video Denis. Would love to hear your views on the maltheists who see Lucifer as a Promethean figure and liberator of humanity. Would it be possible for you to let us know which translation any Bible quotes you use come from? I had to go digging through several before I found one that rendered Is 45:7 as "evil" rather than "darkness." Not even the most literal of modern translations (NASB, ESV, RSV, etc.) use evil. Had to go back to the KJV and Douay to find it.

Jesus says you will know them by their fruits and he also shows us how to ask the father for things. He also claims he is carrying out his father’s will and that his father’s will is unchanging. Now we look at luke 9:54-55 His disciples said to him “do you want us to rain down fire from heaven like Elijah did?” Jesus rebuked them and said “you do not know what manner of spirit you are” Jesus’ fruit was only prosperous therefore this contradicts Isaiah 45:7

I’m not quite a fan of the mocking tone you use to describe how the Christians incorporated the aspects of Pagan gods into the description of Lucifer. The tone came across as snide and inherently dismissive of the entire concept, that it was all theatre to spite conquered foes. If you believe in Divine Truth, you acquiesce, by that acknowledgement, that there IS an answer, fathomable to humanity or not, there IS a truth. IF you acquiesce to this, then you further acquiesce to the idea that it applies to literally all of creation, by necessity. The Greeks and the Norsemen didn’t exist in pocket universes where Yggdrasil was real and simultaneously Zeus actually lived on Olympus. Everyone was observing the same divine truth through their own lens. So then you have to consider the Christian perspective. What are these entities that arrived to these Pagans and told them they were Gods? If there is only ONE God then anything that isn’t him CLAIMING to be God/a god must be a deceiver. Therefore they are Demons, or Lucifer, or whatever. It was not simply “In mockery”. There is a logic to it.

I was gonna ask if you've read paradise lost... I even have that illustrated hardback it's gorgeous. At the end, christ goes to hell and turns everybody into serpents but he made satan into a dragon... I got a few new perspectives and insights from watching this. I've never really met a devout satanist, who wasn't just using him as a cheap excuse to be lazy and shitty. They mock Milton's Satan, who has a dauntless sense of purpose and would overcome any hardship to achieve his intention.

The horns might also have a different meaning. Realize that Moses is often depicted in art with horns on his head. Hebrew uses no vowels: QRN is a root for horn, but can also mean beam. Muslims know about Dhu'l-Qurnayn, or the two horned one. It was wrongly translated to mean horn. Another later translator turning it to latin, didn't notice the mistake...and might even made it more obscure, since it can be translated to cornutus or cornatus. One meaning crown, the other meaning horned. Moses the radiant became Moses the horned. In other words... Bright Moses turned horny.

Is ibilis (Islamic devil) the same as lucifer? I ask because I'm under heavy psychic attack by ibilis from the book of smokeless fire. The use of the name "Lucifer' for the devil arises from a much later Christian reading of the Hebrew "Helel ben Shahar" reference in Isaiah . This reference in Isaiah , comparing a tyrannical and vainglorious Babylonian king (and therefore a mortal man) to "Helel ben Shahar" ( the planet Venus as the morning star ) was taken by later Christian writers as depicting a proud fallen angel . It is evident that the text refers to a mortal king , not an immortal angel , because it later makes reference to the king's tomb . In ancient Hebrew texts the figure referred to as Satan is not a fallen angel , but still part of the Heavenly Court and obedient to Yahweh, who sends him as a tester of faith, as in the Book of Job.

The recent Balenciaga scandal proves just as much - there are people out there who would seek to harm children and claim to follow occultism. And the Christians are right to call such people out. But they should also make sure they’re own house is in order.

One man's God is another man's devil, I say. Look at Theogony by Hesiod. It's the cycle of history. One culture overtakes the old and renders its gods as devils. Even in classical mythology, you can find hints of the monsters fought by the heroes being gods of pre-classical cultures. We're already seeing Jesus become demonized by new and upcoming counter cultures. Someday, some priest of a future religion will decry the crucifix as a "heathen" symbol. What's interesting is that "heathen" and "pagan" both refer to people who live in the countryside. Quite literally, it was a bunch of urban elitist Christians denigrating people in the countryside as backwards rubes. Where do we hear that now? The modern stereotype heald by the modern urbanite is that the people of the countryside are backwards rubes worshiping the old God of Jesus Christ. The modern urbanite meanwhile worships a political ideology in place of a deity. But make no mistake, political ideologies are deities whether people realize it or not. There are no true atheists. To me, Satan is more Christian than Christ. Jesus was an enlightened being who realized the divinity within himself. If I could change part of history, I would have integrated Jesus and his teachings into the pagan system to create something greater than the sum of its parts. Instead, we destroyed an entire part of the "visible spectrum" of divinity in favor of just one deity of one minor dessert tribe.

@@juliaforsyth8332 Christianity is only popular today because a Roman emperor made it the official religion of his massive empire. Look at the eastern world. Buddhism spread all over the place but it didn't replace local religions. It was integrated into local religions. India made Buddha a hindu god and the Japanese have Shinto and Buddhist holy sites integrated into one another. Christianity clearly has its benefits, but it's a very incomplete religion. It could have benefited from being integrated into local pre-Christian religions as it spread. That wasn't allowed though because Christianity was used as a means to dissolve tribes and clans into bigger empires.

Double in Latin: duplici, duplex Double in Italian: doppio Double in Spanish: doble Double in French: double Diabolus means devil, diabolo is a toy (devil on 2 sticks, English) and is an early 20th century invention. Doesn't make the second part of your post inaccurate.

Dropping a comment to mention something for those who don't know much about Astrology. One thing I noticed was that around the 4:47 mark you had stated that the Age of Pisces is Saturnian. To offer a quick correction for the slip-up, that Zodiac sign is Neptunian. The fish sign is associated with the planet whose titular God governs over Water and the Sea. Makes logical sense, right? They represent the very real energy of our psyche, and are the shadow/ego/separation. The opposite energy is the archetype of Christ. Which is Spirit, self love/forgiveness/oneness. Two excellent points 1) as mentioned in Isiah (God being the creator of evil,) you can not separate hot and cold, dry and moist or any other pair of opposing forces because they are never two separate things but two extremes on ONE thing. Ergo "satan" and God must be the same entity.. 2) this (to me).odd concept that "lucifer" is the devil. I wasn't aware there was a verse in Revelation that contradicted this view but lucifer was never meant to be a negative entity..quite the contrary actually at least as I was taught.. Finally It is hard to escape theses dualistic religions that claim a Supreme being who is opposed by his evil twin. This train of thought has relegated entities such as ba'al to the depths of hell when in reality he was the cannanite version of persephone or innana..(ba'al cycle) who has to travel to the underworld and escape.. which is a very significant allegory that you'll see repeated again and again in the mythology of many cultures... These stories are teaching the initiate very important lessons in the form of allegories and are never evil.. only deemed so by a competing culture.. A very convoluted topic but I thought you did a very good job separating fact from fiction 🙏

I just watched a vid on satanism vs muslim. The satanist described he doesnt worship satan but Baphomet and states that Baphomet is the counterpart to God and was there at the beginning with him thus not being created by god. For some reason for me this invokes thoughts of ying and yang, duality principle that runs the universe. Do you perhaps have more intel on Baphomet, its role and origin. Perhaps Aleister Crowley wrote something on this. Thank you.

Uh! Good grief, nothing like an edgelord who thinks information doesn't matter just because most people don't know 😂 Baphomet was the creation of Eliphas Levi. Like the Lamassu, or the sphinx, or the griffin, the Baphomet isn't an entity, it's an image that combines symbols that help us understand the nature of the world, the occult philosophy. It's not a counterpart to God, it's a collection of symbols that represent God. But most people won't understand the symbolism, so all they see is a lurid picture of a goat-headed deity, so clearly not God who as we all know iS a wHitE MaN wiTh A bEarD. Just because someone claims to be a Satanist, doesn't mean they understand the first thing about Satanism, just like most Christians don't understand the first thing about Christianity. To most people these are all just club memberships, not philosophies.

I remember when I first started out learning about Hellenism I thought there version of heaven would be in the sky with the Gods...of course that's do to living in a mainly Christian country. It's important to realize, as you have explained from the outset here, that the monotheizing/monist tendency of Christianity applies as well to its understanding of evil: if there is a subtle dualism (not on the level of Zoroastrianism or Manicheans, though!) in Christianity by exiling the "negative" dimensions of their God to The Devil, then all of the various diabolic figures must become one in doing so. It reminds me of the line in The Exorcist, when Father Karras is preparing the more experienced elder priest (played by Max Von Sydow) to exorcise Regan, and he says there are at least three different demons present, and the older priest says, "There is only one Evil" (or something along those lines). Another thing that could be added to what you explained is that Lucifer, and His Greek equivalent/origin, Phosphoros (which also means "Light-Bearer," just like Lucifer!), as the beautiful messenger of the Morning Star/Venus are known in the pre-Christian periods as well. There are also medieval Latin hymns about Jesus that refer to Him directly as "Lucifer," and anyone who has been to an Easter Vigil Mass in a Catholic Church would not be able to get any other impression of Jesus than that He is a Light-Bearer/Bringer...I mean, "Light of the World" kind of demands such an understanding, after all! ;)
